Had a shopping cart loaded with steaks, roasts, crab legs, etc.
She paid with food stamps(link card)
She had enough jewelry on her to make Mr. T jealous.
She had her IPod.
She had her cell phone.
Then she loaded up her groceries and drove away in this car.

    It makes me fucking crazy.
People can whine, bitch and moan about the evil corporations of America.

But the freeloading pieces of garbage, who abuse the system for free groceries, piss me off more than the Evil Big Business.

They whine bitch and moan about our government.
But they have NO PROBLEM collecting that government check.

Can she not spend her food budget as she wishes?

Maybe assumptions are being made. Maybe her jewelery (fake or not), her phone and car were acquired before falling on harder times? Maybe. Not all is a 'obvious' as it may seem to some. The casual onlooker will not have all the facts to enable correct judgement.

Even if she is shopping for someone else should that person be able to eat better than me when I work 15 hours a day? Obviously if someone is buying crab legs with their foodstamps they are getting too much.

But please, keep defending your wel-fare president, it's quite entertaining :corn:

Of course it's your business. It's your tax dollars that are paying for it. I'm not against anyone needing help. But with the country being as poor as it is, food stamps should be regulated. Getting just enough to divide it by 4 weeks and feed your family for the week on low costing groceries. That would also give people more incentive to get out there and make more money. Why go look for a job when you can eat steak and crab legs for free?

perhaps one meal (perhaps) of crab legs & steak is enough to piss ppl off?

They are regulated. One has a fixed amount to buy food. Not alcohol, not cigarettes - food. That's what this person was doing. Not a very balanced diet but if she prefers to buy steak instead of fresh fruit and veg for the same amount of money, it's her business -it's food.

Sad to say, we reward bad behavior in this country. We facilitate people's existence by paying them
not to work. The abuse of the system is rampant and becoming more and more blatant.

If I didn't have a mortgage, have to buy food or pay for insurance, all from my own pocket,
I could eat filet mignon every night too.

    Seems a bit counter productive.
    Nice shirt.

It must have been for a special occasion. One she probably couldn't afford otherwise.
Maybe she couldn't afford a gift,so a dinner is what she could supply. I'm sure it set her back
a dinner or two.Don't think for one minute that it's a walk in the park to hold your head up
while slipping through the crack's of society. And when you're on assistance,That's exactly where you stay.
