  • It didnt stop raining did it? 2 days ago @lastexitlondon
  • Its so upsetting becuse its all because  affinity water did  works up stream of the river. Also that same river hasnt been dredged in years so it over spills high up stream  and floods across the  fields. I really think its all over. Im missing  my sanctuary.
I wish these people knew the damage its done mentally  and physically to lots of elder folk and myself. Lost all our hard work and our safe place.
    Awful

put seeds in. Carrots, snap peas, lettuce, beets. Harvested a small pile of carrots and some turips that survived the winter under a pile of leaf mulch. Always love that surprise harvest before the spring planting.

  • Nice weather to be outside in England x

The last 3 years I have grown a couple of cherry tomato plants. I want to try to add something else next year, but I am not sure what yet. I have never gardened before, so baby steps.

Cucumber are good to try. And onions and garlic. Maybe corn and  beetroot

Cucumber is a really good idea. I eat at least one salad a day, sometimes two and always have cucumbers on them. So far I have only planted in pots, but my wife talked about installing a couple of raised beds next year, so we will have some extra room to experiment.

Yes raised beds are so good
Also lettuce is so fast and easy to grow. Lettuce is a great one for success

We set up our raised bed about 2-3 weeks ago. We're growing radishes, jalepenos, serranos, chives, cilantro, spinach, tomatoes and green leaf lettuce. Essentially, everything to have non stop taco supplies! Ha!

I eat baby spinach instead of lettuce in my salad for the nutrients. Is it fairly easy to grow?

Easy peasy^^you can find other greens too. Just chuck some seeds in dirt. It's been rainy here, so I have to pick off the slugs.
    Garden is doing great!
