I hope to meet up with you guys at 2 PM, whether I have a ticket or not. I arrive in Paris mid-morning, so it gives me time to check in to my hotel and figure out which tube to take (Oberkampf is the closest metro to my hotel)!

So I'm still hoping I can get a ticket for the show (10C or not!)... let me know via PM if you can help me out!

    Thanks,

Does anyone know what the restrictions are for flying into France? Im not bringing anything bad...I mean like liquids (cologne, deodarant etc)...Just want to make sure everything goes smoothly! (I am flying out of the USA)

  • Hi MrG-
Sorry I can't be of much help re: flying restrictions. I'm flying from Vancouver to Amsterdam on Aug 23 so I better do my research soon...
So I'm wondering what your accomodations plans are? I'm hoping to find ppl who are staying at the same hostel as I am- Montclair Montmartre- or just to sightsee the day after the show... Let me know! (I already added you to my msn btw.)

They are not 10C, but http://www.ticketnet.fr/shop/en/accueil.asp still has some left. This is the English link, so it might be easier to do. Get on it fast for tickets!!!!

Also, if Glorified can send me a link to that hostel, I would be more than happy to book my room there...as long as its reasonably close to the venue.I can always hang out with someone after the show.

See you all at 2pm day of!

Paris and Marseille were mailed at the same time yesterday... Have you look into your spam box? sometimes it happens to be there
  • Yes, i got my email last night - gonna have to get to the stadium a good time!
If we go in to the venue at 5.45, how long do u think we will have to stand there til Pearl Jam play?

    The schedule says:

    Showtime: 19:45
    Doors Open: 18:00

I think this is the time My Morning Jacket will get on stage.

I reckon then that My Morning Jacket will come on bout 8, then Pearl Jam will come on just after 9? Hope the Bercy has a late licence?!!!

i 'll see pj for the very first time on the 9 eleven,

My morning jacket c'est moyen.
ça sonne fort années 70, très rock and roll...

(For anyone not speaking French, I'm just telling them off for not speaking Enlish here and directing them to a French-speaking forum)

sorry pegasus, but on the argentina thread they speak in their language, so why we couldn't speak in french, just sometimes here, relax...

i 've begun speak in french because i don't manage to traduce all the things i would say !! it's a little frustrating but i love be here.

but i come back to http://www.pjforum.fr.fm/ right now !!

yes they do and it is annoying, and rude to do so..
And the Argentinian thread is about something long past so chances are only locals are still going there..not true here.

as discussed already here is the listing on eBay for a ticket and hotel package I am selling:

The reserve is only 70 euro so it is surely a bargain for anyone who wants to go see the legends playing in a city as cool as Paris. Flights on Sept 11th aren't too dear either for some reason

Well would there be any objections to opening a thread, like the one in Portuguese, but for Francophones. I think it's annoying and rude that the Anglophone world expects everyone to speak in English because most of us are too lazy (or self-important) to learn another language. Remember back to when you had difficulty expressing yourself fluently in English perhaps?
  • JulienJulien Posts: 2,457
English is usually considered as universal language. This is why we speak english on this forum... French is my mothertongue but I have no problem speaking english... firthermore, this is a way to use my kowledge and improve my english...
