If it says the show starts at eight that sounds a bit of a late start if there was to be a support band ...

No I said, if it starts at 8, I don't actually know. but I had to have a rough time to work out the hours ;)

But we all know there won't be a support band ;)

Oh I didn't realise it actually states 8. Well most shows I have been to the opening band comes on about 7:30 or 8 so maybe not that late. Depends on the opening band. If they are a small band they might only get 30 mins, which means PJ would come out about 8:45. Hmm sounds about right to me

at the risk of looking like a complete tool........
whats the story with presets as opposed to soundchecks? Is it a 'bonus' type thin for fans?

Yep once the doors have opened Ed comes out and plays one or two songs by himself and then introduces the support act. He doesn't do it every show though.

There is no simplifying Irish and British to 'Brits' - you're gonna have to stick with 'Irish and Brits' and that's that ;)

Yeah I was just wondering if The Point have curfew if they do you would be hoping that the support would be going on earlier than normal as a lot of bands only play 1 1/2-2 hours where as PJ usually do 2 1/2
