Well ya know how some famous people might own ah... say... a pub or even a hotel or something? ;)
I wasn't aware of that one.. but I don't live there and lost interest years ago.
I'm even more confused now.

Probably something to do with the fact that I know absolutely nothing about the band you are all talking about. I never knew they had been on stage together before or supported each other.

For some reason I always thought the two frontmen didn't get on
Are you sure you're thinking of the same band? I mean you're confusing me!

Here's how it all started... somebody said something about how PJ are opening for them in Hawaii and they seem to return favours for eachother these days - and the lads SHOULD be at home apparently. How fucking unbelievable would that be? Considering the Astoria was never released, do the lads think THIS is their first 'show' in Europe in 6 years? Well it's their first show in their first 'tour' in 6 years so it means something! And since their two opening bands are both out of the picture and there's no mention of anything else, we might be in for somethign a bit special... although for me, it can't get more special than JUST PJ :o but I'll take anything :)

ummmm nice idea, i'm not fused either way but thats ok

I know a lil connection there , maybe able to get some info ;)

she lost me ages ago as well .... :)

why isnt anyone actually saying U2...

this thread isnt the Da Vinci code..... its much better written than that ;)

we are allowed to say U2... although it wont be them... U2 would never open for PJ in their own hometown... just wouldnt happen... be like having The Beatles open for the Who in Liverpool.... or The Darkness opening for Sammy Bigbuns and the flying bra catchers in Lowestoft.. just aint gonna happen :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

U2 will never open for PJ.

the guys from U2 playing under another name, maybe only covers or more obscure stuff... for a bit of fun.... They're humans too you know, not just one big machine (as much as it looks like that these days).

It's just a fun game to speculate on...though it was more fun when not so open..damn you Dunk!!

    Yep, exactly!

I could imagine Ed getting on stage with a band he was friendly with if he was at home and in between tours and stuff like that. It's more fun to imagine than it is to knock

    no from dublin.

I was talking to my boss today and he is a giant u2 fan (by that i don't mean he is a giant who is a u2 fan, i mean he loves u2 in a giant way), anyway he said that in beytween their tour legs they are recording in france (i know its really easy to just hope on a plane for the gig but it does dampen down the "rumours")

damn, with this heat it would have been nice if he was a giant fan... especially one that played U2 songs as he spun round causing a slight breeze to cool us all down.... but i see you explained he wasnt a giant fan, but indeed was a fan of the band in a giant way... ;)

Weren't the waterboys half of the levellers or the other way around? I used to love the levellers. That song 'one way' was just fucking brilliant :D

Right, so who the fuck's gonna open for them then??? I'd love The Devlins actually - they're really good and they don't seem to be doing much at the moment. Well they're recording a new album but they could take a night off :)
