Yea, the Rega and Debut I have heard great things on. The only thing that I was curious about was the fact that I have never heard something played on a $500 or $1000 table so I have no base to see the actual difference. But I like where your head is at and I will probably buy one in the $500 range and upgrade it over the year.

    Good looks everyone!

Figured I would update the collection after RSD and a little rearranging:

Going down the Audiophile road is a slippery slope. IMO its much better to get a good table mid tier table (like you are looking at) and do some improvements and save all the extra cash for LPs.

Agreed, when you're an audiophile, you're done listening to music and you're only listening to equipment. Boring.

Damn, man...I didn't recognize every album in that collection but that was the most impressive collection I've seen to date. Band wise, that is more or less what I want my collection to end up looking like. A few that jump out....those Oasis pressings are the ones from that big-ass box set right? And I've been looking for the Time Flies... at a good price since I started collecting about 15 months ago.

How do the Oasis box sets sound (Time Flies..., Stop the Clocks, and the albums box) ? Oh and is Wilco - Kicking TV worth picking up? I've been on the fence.

And the Cornershop album is awesome...I heard them on the radio a few months back for the first time in probably 10 years and forgot all about them.

..........Sorry for the crazy amount of bro-love that I have for your collection, ha.

Some of those albums make me think you are over in the UK and if that's the case, I might be in touch for some help to lock down a few albums I've had my eye on ;)

Wilco Kicking Television is an amazing box set. 8 sides and it sounds phenomenal. Not a crackle or anything throughout, even better than their studio albums on vinyl. Highly recommend it.

Wow thats a fantastic collection alright, nice work Tim! Ok if I ask a couple of questions, how long have you been collecting LP's? And so good to see some of my fave's in there, Beck, Sonic Youth, Pavement! Great R.E.M. collection too, wow! But maybe I missed them, but no Beatles, The Cure and Pixies, you not into them??

The Oasis LPs are mainly from that box set (Though they sold them individually, thats how I got them), but I have OPs of Be Here Now (UK), Definitely Maybe (EU), and Don't Believe the Truth (US). All are done really well. Especially the reissues. Oasis was never mastered well (one of the early brickwallers), but the vinyl is quiet and real quality. Mainly because they were pressed in Europe.

Wilco is a must pick up if you love them. The funny thing is, the band has gotten so much tighter and better and KT was recorded near the end of their first year together (The Post AGIB lineup, I mean).

I got the Cornershop LP last summer actually at Pitchfork Fest. I had the 12" singles when they came out years ago, but never saw the album. It was my best crate digging day ever having walked away with that, Sterolab Dots and Loops and Emperor Tomato Ketchup, a Pulp 12" and a Super Furry Animals album.

As you can tell I'm big into the 90's British rock (which picked up as PJ went low key in 95). I don't live in the UK, I'm in Chicago actually. Sorry, otherwise I'd help out.

    Thanks dude.

I've been collecting LPs since the day Vitalogy came out. Most of the 90's I bought CDs like eveybody, and only bought vinyl of the albums I really loved (I only had about 75-100 records or so by the end of the decade), but once I graduated college in '00, moved to the city and had more disposable income, I went all out. I went vinyl only in about 03-04 and thats why my collection is so big (Probably 70% is made up of post 1990 music)

I do love the Beatles and have some Beatles LPs in those pictures (mainly the red/blue singles collections and 2-3 US only LPs). I also have (but not pictured) is the Stereo Box set from last year. The box is too big for my Expedit so I keep it on the side with my boxes of 7"s and White Stripes (in a White Stipes 12" carrying case).

No Pixies or Cure. I don't know why I don't have any Pixies, but when it comes to sad limey rock, I'm more of a Smiths guy than the Cure guy. So thats why there are no Cure albums to be found.

Yea you can definitely tell that. And I appreciate the info on the Oasis wax. I need to work on finding some nice prices for those as they have been at the top of my list for a while.

You've been collecting a long time. Once again really nice stuff, lots of similar taste to mine also. I lived in London for 6 years and couldn't help but get into the British stuff, they have a strong music history.

It was perfect timing. As soon as the US (grunge) was on the downswing, britpop was on the upswing. Basically 1990-1997 had, like 100 classic albums. Pretty mega.

Jealous of all the displays. I really wish I could have a nice way to display all my vinyl. Our room is just too small for shelving so I have most everything in milk crate baskets.

so a little off-topic as this more audio equipment rather than vinyl collection, but I had to post as my mind was partially blown yesterday. A friend of a friend and I were talking music, vinyl, etc and he invited me over to check out his set up. Hands down the best sounding system I've ever heard. He said he's got about $15,000 worth of equipment (retail) that he's been piecing together for the last 5-6 years. I dont know the name/specs of all his stuff but he uses a VPI Scout turntable, about 3 different amps, 2 sets of speakers and 2 separate subs. He built all the shelving himself...it was awesome (sorry photos arent best quality)

Shit Tim... That's badass. I pissed I was a few years too late with starting to collect or I would have spent so much less money trying to gather all of those. My TMR collection will never be complete or even close due to the sheer amount of older material and the prices they fetch on some.

That Live in Vegas set is my Benny equivalent for TWS.

I had someone check on Vegas when they went to TMR and they couldn't get ahold of me to ask of $250 was OK and by the time I got back to them they were 15 min gone. I think it was gone a couple days later when they went back. So I never got that, but the Vault has put out shows that are just as good so I'm not sweating that.
