"TENSION 2013: Alessandro Cortini, Joshua Eustis, Robin Finck, Lisa Fischer, Sharlotte Gibson, Pino Palladino, Trent Reznor, and Ilan Rubin."
Where did you get this from? If this is the first time NIN are playing shows with female backup vocalists, then NIN officially broke the gender barrier (not the first time for Trent since he played shows with htda). And I approve the extra additions. I wonder if the female singers will take over the backup vocals ilan Rubin had done with the festival shows. Does this mean Joshua Eustis is taking care of more keyboards?

And so the Tension North American Tour begins tonight. Have fun to all those who are going tonight and anyone going to an upcoming NIN concert.
Yes! I will be sure to report back
Enjoy. Note that I will unlikely read your report until I see them in Toronto. I am one of those guys who would rather remain surprised. When I saw the LITS show in 2008, it was not what I expected at all. It completely exceeded my expectations.
Last night was...incredible. I went in with high hopes but NIN blew away my expectations. For those going, I won't ruin it for you with too many details, only that they play a lot of the new album, some choice cuts from the past, the energy is incredible, and you won't be disappointed. Oh, and I hope you're not susceptible to seizures, cuz the light show is ridiculously crazy!

I expected that they would play more songs from the new album (isn't that what most bands do anyway when touring after releasing a new album anyway?). I did seat for the last three times NIN came to Toronto and this Friday, I will do GA Floor for NIN for the first time. How was the crowd on the floor btw? Crazy? Mellower than in the past?

The floor was pretty tame. I had seats, 4th row, so I could observe the "pit", and while there was excitement and plenty of arms raised during the explosive parts, it was not that rowdy. No circle pits or anything like that
Not saying the floor was lame at all, the crowd was really into it. Pumped, but not crazy. I think you're going to dig seeing the show from GA.

They did play a lot of the new songs. Some of them did not translate well into the live setting in my opinion. Overall, it was an exceptional show.

I don't think Ilan sang at all! The singers were good for the new stuff. It was different... I think Trent is going to change up that setlist... move "Survivalism" somewhere else... having the ladies out there for that song was just awkward and THEY knew it was, too.
Josh played more guitar, sang, and played the occasional keyboard. Oh, and he also played the Sax! I don't think Trent actually picked up a guitar the entire night.

I saw that photo and was very confused. At first i thought it meant they were going to play in Queens, so I got excited. Then I saw Australia & NZ in the background & thought they might be playing QueensLAND & wondered when, and why they cut off the 'land' and included NZ in the image. Now I'm seeing that photo posted here
Someone wanna 'splain it to my sleep deprived brain without using big words?

Thank you. I've always seen them abbreviated at QOTSA never Queens.

Nothing is official, but it's pretty damn obvious when both bands post it.
Just got an email for nin.com pre-sale tickets pick up. Anyone going to the Toronto show this Friday should check their inbox. At least, I only bought one ticket, otherwise I would have a problem.

Fair enough
Fair enough, I was referring to many of the drum beats. I'm not well versed in techno, so fair enough.
