Hows it all going Zig....?? :)

Anne had the surgery (keyhole) and her right fallopian tube had already ruptured a few days before and she had 500ml of yucky blood floating around that they had to get rid of. She didn't get any pain which is scary because she could have died due to the rupture. If they knew she had already ruptured, they would have cut her open with a big cut instead of keyhole because ruptures are so dangerous etc!

They removed the entire right fallopian tube. There's no way to tell if the left tube will cause blockages etc. Now she's had an ectopic pregnancy, she has a 1 in 7 chance of it happening again.

She can start trying again in 2 months...but her obstetrician has already talked about the possibility of IVF.

Oh lovely! :) Anne's 5 years older than me and we always talked about our kids being similar ages etc...now to think that there is a slight possibility that she won't have any or may really struggle is sad. But she'll be right. Positive thoughts! :D

Before all these problems, her preganncy was already classed as "high risk" because she's 34!!! That shocked me a bit. Her age could also be the reason why she had the ectopic too. Now Leigh's stressing because we're 29 and 31! ha ha He really really wants kids!

dont worry - its the done thing to wait till mid 30's or so to start with kids these days - its the ones that had them young like me that are the bizarre ones
and they have to class anything over ... i think 29 ... as high risk - it's not something to panic about, all it means is the complication ratio rises a bit with each year; downs, birth complications, gestational diabetes, high blood pressure etc. plenty of women have babies up to their 40's with no probs. plenty of women have hard pregnancies in their mid 20's. everyone is a bit different.

your sister will be ok - a friend of mine had an ectopic, she fell pregnant about 6months after, now she has a gorgeous little 12month old daughter. She was 34.

i think its kinda funny my kids will be in uni by the time all my friends will be in kindy :D

I'm not really TOO worried about me -- I think Leigh stresses about it because I had polycystic ovaries so 'may' have problems ovulating and 'may' need needles or some crap to make me ovulate etc...and he's already 31.5 and he doesnt want to be having his first kid at 35!!! But only time will tell. He's clucky as hell poor thing! :D

Thanks for the good stories and reassurance! :) I keep hearing things like this and telling my sister so she hears the good stories instead of only reading and focusing on the negative stuff.

yeah not bad, cool, wouldn't say warm, but i am sitting here in boardies and a t-shirt.

is it wrong that i just went to maccas got a large quarter pounder meal and added a little bit of rum to my beverage?

It would only be wrong if said beverage is a shake.

Sitting in boardies and a T shirt....I'd call that a heat wave atm!!
