That's why I don't go to pubs now. Most of them don't have live music anymore and just play mindless doof doof music all night.

I cant stand the doof doof music..........:(

has anyone read in the porch about the 10c tix swapping - seems 10c staffers have all but confirmed it by saying they didnt issue tickets in the sections the members ended up getting allocated. could happen??????

I remember at Melb the envelope was sealed...
At Newcastle it wasnt sealed I remember thinking imagine if the person dropped the box of tickets and they fell out and if the just shoved them back into the envelopes not knowing which one came from where....couldve happened easily....

You're right .. you can hardly do that anywhere in Australia now. That's whats good about it. We're still going to be close to beaches and there is a hospital nearby if we need it. Also if we get bored and want a bit of fun and glamour the Gold Coast or Byron Bay is not that far away.

Why are you moving to Qld? Where is Glenn working now?

U use to be able to do that here.............but since about 2002 when all the bloody mainlanders started snapping up places that all changed they pushed all the prices up for the locals....
Once 300k wouldve bought a mansion right on the waterfront........not anymore....:(

Same here in Dwelli. When we first moved here you could buy a little 'Timber Mill' cottage for about $60k....then all the yuppies from Perth started buying them and now, you'd be lucky to get one for under $450k  It's good for us, though.
The other problemn with that though, is that none of these yuppies even live in the houses, so half the houses in town are empty, so the local shops really battle to make ends meet....forcing their prices though the roof :( eg; it costs me over $5 for 3 litres of milk at the general store
