You must live out in the middle of nowhere, i'm gonna google earth Dwellingup and say hi... Don't worry, i have no intention of stalking you..... yet.....
Hehehe! Yeah we kind of do. Up in the hills in the middle of the forrest.....it's 1 of the most beautiful places on earth (IMO), but pretty boring!
Ooh! A stalker - now that would bring a bit of excitement!! :D

Woah, it is a small town, theres like 8 and a half blocks. Do you know everyone in town?? or have you not lived there for long??
Yes....tiny. Another reason why the bush fires we had last Summer were so tragic....16 houses destroyed - that a huge amount for such a little, close knit town - DEVASTATING, to say the least! ...and yes everyone knows everyone!!! Not always a good thing. We've been here for about 7 years now.

well there is a cricket pitch so it can't be that bad.

looks a little dry through, the groundsman needs to do a bit of work.
I've never looked on there before! Should I go outside and wave..LOL! We have to have our oval....footy's a BIG thing here....always a big/pissy day when we have a home game ;) I've never seen that cricket pitch used.

And the tennis courts, ou could claim they were clay courts, and that the pros come out there to train as its isolated, although i'm guessing that it is dirt, and their are little clmps of grass around it, and it isn't so smooth. i may be wrong though.
Their not clay....it's that reddy colour bitumen stuff....same with the basketball courts.

Whats that building that looks like leaves?? I could play with the Google Earth thing all day. Its amazing.
That's the Forrest Herritage Centre and school of wood. There's a tree top walk thing there and the school of wood is a school type of thing - people come from everywhere for that course (it's about 3 years) and learn artsy stuff....lot's of successful artists have risen from there. It's a very popular town with the terrorist's....oops! I mean tourists LOL! We call them terrorists, coz we end up with thousands of them here every weekend and they just take over......heaps come out for the camping out at the River - gorgeous spot out there!

Just download Google Earth free. I did lots of looking around A'Stan several years ago and the changes at the airfields were amazing. Some were blacked out at later stages some still not.

I can even see the yellow umbrella in my parents pool area
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

KEWL!!! I can see my house!!!! (Forest View Road - we back onto the forrest) WOW! That is a really old picture!!! It does look really dry (Dwellingup, I mean, not my house) It's only that dry for a very small part of the year....it's usually very green lush forrests.

Depends on the areas. Most of the bases etc in A'Stan and Iraq are a few years old due to Opsec reasons. Some still accessible - some totally blacked out (ie Area 51)

i was listening to triple j the other week, and the day the palace in melbourne burned down people rang in to say it was on fire, then some guy rang triple j and said, "They are lying, i'm on google earth looking at the palace and i don't see any smoke."

    and we all laughed together.

No, I REALLY am fine. Next game is Sunday.

Flights to the Gold Coast are $85 each way, which isn't bad. I thought it'd be cool if all the people who're willing to go to the meet-up from the Sydney/Newcastle area could all fly up together. I think you get a discount if there's 10 or more people
