    Flights to the Gold Coast are $85 each way, which isn't bad. I thought it'd be cool if all the people who're willing to go to the meet-up from the Sydney/Newcastle area could all fly up together. I think you get a discount if there's 10 or more people

We'll prolly be looking at about $700 each for return flights from here :( Haven't had a good shop around for prices, just had a quick look yesterday, so I know how much I have to butter Glenn up ;) As soon as we've set a date....I'm booking!!!! I'll tell him then ;) I think it'll be cheaper if we book a 4 day package deal....we'll need somewhere to stay....will have to ask Tig for a recommendation - I know nothing about hotels etc; over there.

    Last time I was up there I stayed at the Watermark (I think)
    It's in a great location and has about 1 million pools (well....about 3)

    I think it looks horrible in those shots! It really is the most beautiful place (hence so many tourists) and when we do mange to get away, it's always great to come back to. It's a very peaceful, friendly, safe little town (great when you've got kids). Only thing these days is with the price of fuel (it's $1.38 per litre here!) and the fact that we have to drive so far to go anywhere....it's just too expensive.

    eeeewww! Our river gets a bit like that here in Summer, after a while with no rain. Not in all the white water rafting sections, but in the swimming hole sections, it gets a bit poo-y by the end of Summer.

    NEW DATES - 23rd November or 30th November

    Prices of flights are a teeny bit dearer

    Yeah I already figured that out when I was pricing flights....no matter - as long as it happens!! :D Maybe you could set up another petition and get PJ to come along play with LD's! :D

    That's one of the easiest drives around. Queensland roads are super-impressive and flow really well (except for the time I got stuck in a 2 hour traffic jam trying to get back to Brisbane from Noosa)

    Was it you who asked if I would be going? I doubt I will be. It would be good but I'd have to go by myself and get to the Gold Coast etc because Leigh definitely won't be flying just to meet you guys (he HATES flying)...so I doubt it. If I was going to spend money on a holiday, I'd prefer it to be with Leigh because we've been busting our arses at two businesses for nearly a year now -- working 6-7 days a week each. I'll see --- but I doubt it.
