And YOU need to get professional help, to deal with your imaginary relationship with Eddie Vedder.
I hope you get shut out.Take me piece by piece.....

Fact is, you have been whining and complaining for 2-3 weeks.MG79478 wrote:
Wow Speedy, you really need to get a life. Should I be worried that you'll be outside my house tonight in the bushes? Unlike you I don't wait for life to happen to me and then complain about how unfair things are.Take me piece by piece.....

I know what an analogy is, thanks. I was suggested yours wasn't very good.
I think it's important not to rush to conclusions about a system that hasn't even been fully tried out yet. Will some people get shut out? Sure. There's only a certain number of tickets, and people not getting a ticket will always occur. Personally, I'd rather enter a lottery than sit at home for seven hours hitting F5 all day. You may suggest this is an excercise akin to studying and the award (be it going to a concert or getting into college) is well worth it. I suggest it's a waste of time and, ultimately, gives an unfair advantage to those who have the time to take off work and the resources to develop programs to game the system.
In the ticket lottery system, no advantage is given to income, computer know-how or 10c seniority. Everyone is on the same plain and has an equal shot of attending the show. I can't think of a better solution for the majority of people, although I open to the possibility."Where's KW?"

I partly agree, but why not do a ticket presale for 10C members?0 -

Sorry, yeah, that's what I'm referring to -- the 10c's new lottery system for a chance to buy presale tickets."Where's KW?"

This June will be 20 years in the fan club. I was 13, I had a paper route. I paid my dues. I don't care where I'm at, just give me the chance to be in the building, without paying more than face value.
The allocation of tickets will never satisfy everyone. It's impossible.0 -

I have an imaginary relationship with Speedy! This weekend, we are making Paper Mache' wine bottles, and if time allows, we will go to a scrapbooking class afterwards. I hope he is available, but then again..... :fp:0 -

Well said, and I`d like to add there will be members that will get shut out . That`s why they chose this system . Wrigley holds 40,000 people. So depending on how many tickets are allocated for the 10c , and how many people are in the lotto, some of you kids my have to sit out. As for seniority, the new system is far better in theory. The last few years I kinda had bogus reserved seats , after 15 years you`d think it get better.0 -

Sheesh. Some people will complain about anything.
For PJ20, I spent all day at my computer. Go back to that? No way.
Agree, I spent all day and got nothing!! Then had to get on ticketmaster a week later to get them....and ticketmaster sucks! This could be the day0 -
Let me get this straight... People were complaining for weeks after the PJ20/F5 thing so 10C changes to lottery and now people are going to bitch about this?

And complaining that 10C hasn't "listened" to us. Blows your mind.___________________________________________

En La Clandestinidad Telford, PA by way of Kansas City, MO and Milwaukee, WI, Phoenix, AZ and East Greenbush, NY Posts: 3,709Honestly, depending on how many people enter for certain shows, we may all get tix anyway without they hassles. Remember the sales in the 2010 tour? Only the bigger/more popular shows sold out right away. Shows like Columbus, Cleveland and Buffalo took a while to go.
Just saying many people may not even get shut out. Though we all know that this Wrigley show will get a ton of visitors and requests. Part of me loves it, since there is not stress of refreshing or having me get all the way to the payment screen and then having to start over and over again. I am at a 50/50 to liking the new system. And you know what, if I lose the lotto I guarantee I will still be at Wrigley in July and won't even have to pay more than face for my ticket.Formerly Brew Crew Tix

I like the new system and I've never been shut out of tickets including Alpine Valley. I was one of the lucky last minute ones after hitting F5 for hours. That sucked though. Much easier and less stress now. Just submit request within the window given and see if your name gets drawn. Im cool with that. If I don't get drawn for Wrigley I'll find tickets another way. Not a big deal.0

I like the new system a lot. The very idea of having to take a day off work to get tickets is completely ludicrous to me. And if I don't win a draw, I will find a ticket some other way that is still easier than f5ing.
How would 10c ask all the members first? You mean everything they do should be done by referendum? :roll:With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
When the site crashed on PJ20 and Canada sales, they resorted to ticketmaster where you just put in a password for presale and still got your 10C seats. It was still first come, first serve like all ticket sales have been and Ticketmaster CAN HANDLE the traffic. As a member since the early 90s, I don't like that now it's up to someone else as to whether or not I get a show versus me fighting for one. In a way, it was rewarding when I got through.
I say use Ticketmaster, use a passcode & put the damn things on sale like they've always done. Hate the lotto system, and I don't like this priority thing. Does that affect your other shows? Just because you have pick one as your #1 choice, doesn't mean there is another you would die to have. And then to have level of seats to add into that priority...does it weigh the lotto? I don't get it, and I don't need to see how it works before I decide whether I like it or not. All it takes it for them to deny me a show, and I won't be happy, because at least when I got shut out before, it was because of me.
The worst part is the waiting...a week! Ugh, I can't handle it.

100 Pacer wrote:Did it ever occur to anyone that perhaps the reason the lottery is in place (the technology to upgrade & improve on the old system is readily available) is because the band got sick & tired of seeing the same faces up front for a vast majority of shows? It's no secret over the last few years Ed in particular has been left frustrated by this.
And this is coming from someone who is typically up front.
If they feel that way towards to the people who have not only stuck with them since the beginning, but also dedicate a ton of their time and money to travel to see them numerous times, then I have to say they aren't very loyal to their fans to treat their longtime fans that way. Because unlike the people in the back, those up front were there in the beginning, and will most likely be there in the end.
If you really want to believe this lame theory, then maybe associate with the lotto rows, because the lotto ticket system doesn't take those people away. Just like the old system, we're (because I'm one of them) not at every show, and the lotto ticket system doesn't change that, because it won't give us every show we ask for.0
