    2.8 million lose power.

So far the xavier mcdaniel news bureau as confirmed by two sources can report that the lights are still on, just two downed trees down the block.

my parents are 15 minutes outside of manhattan in jersey and they haven't had power for several hours now. they are more worried about trees coming down than flooding where they are (which i guess is lucky considering the big picture).

following it all day but just getting caught up with all the pics/videos/feeds now. is all

the radar image i saw early this afternoon literally looked like this storm was about to wipe jersey/nyc off the map.

this might be the katrina of the NYC metro area.

Uptown Manhattan near Columbia. Luckily have power, but the wind is nerve wracking. All windows shaking.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

And it's crazy because the center of the storm missed by 100 miles+. I couldn't fucking imagine if that shit hit directly.

All I have to say is that I live in the northeast for a fucking reason. To avoid earthquakes and hurricanes and there has been 1 earthquake and 2 hurricanes in the last 18 months. What the fuck?

looks like that is the hoboken path station. if the same goes for the NYC train system, you are looking at about a week until those trains are up and running.

major problem for a city with 8 million ppl.
