Well... I don't want to be laid up in a hospital with doctors and nurses and machines with tubes and stuff. I'm totally a wimp like that. I like the blood to be where it's suppposed to be... on the inside.
Life can change in the blink of an eye, you know we have no control over everything all the time.
I've heard stories of people experiencing them in different situations though, it doesn't have to be you getting hurt; some people experience them when loved ones die or are severely hurt.0 -

cool, never heard of that phenomenon!
I've experienced an angel in the hospital when I was at my consciously worst after a near-fatal car accident. I know it was. It's just one of those things that can't really be defined any other way - I can explain if anyone wants to hear. I never saw orbs in my photos til after my accident.
And I've experienced a ghost as well. I'm ok with people not believing in either of them because they've never had experience with them, but I think if you are more open-minded to the possibility that they exist, you're more likely to experience it.
I"ve experienced a ghost too. Zoso says he doesn't believe, but he must on some level because he gets freaked out whenever I talk about it...
I can pm you later!0 -

Angels are not only 'experienced' when one (or a loved one) is ill or near death. Angels (as I understand them) are there for all kinds of different experiences, wonderful/positive and yes, also the more negative ones. I have the feeling that this idea of 'angel of death' (ie only coming around when death is near) to be part of the legacy of the 'religious' angels - ie showing the 'way' - which is a traditional religious role of an angel.0 -

Why get freaked out if you don't believe it's real? My ghost has been with me for a while now...

because of stories you hear, because of the movies you watch etc. the unknown is kinda scary or creepy but generally their are facts, evidence an scientific reasons for these events.. GENERALLY.I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

Jeanwah wrote:Awesome that you believe this Cosmo. So do I. Everything is made up of energy. Some people are more sensitive to it than others. But we're really all spirits occupying a body until it dies and then the spirit continues to move on. Energy. Love is an energy too. I don't completely understand it, either. But it's absolutely fascinating.
What I find is that the more we're programmed in to what distracts us - electronics, the media, being physically and mentally occupied with anything really, the less we're in touch with our spiritual side. Maybe I'm the only one on the forums who meditates, but there's something to be said for the quiet solitude. We become more awake to what's really going on, and there's a big shift supposedly coming...
count me in, jeanwah... then maybe you & i are the only ones?
no television... X
i live very peacefully and very calm and very much at ease... X
i am in tranquility pretty much 24x7... X
i feel diffferent energies pretty much all the time. some days/nights are more intense than others. lastnight i burnt sage and cleansed my home. it needed done and hadn't been done in many months. this will keep negative energy at bay for awhile. yes i love the native american indian ways as they live nearer to and with the natural world moreso than the way this modern world living has become; this modern unnatural way is not for me.
sticks, rocks & leather. sticks, rocks & leather. sticks, rocks & leather.
but i do enjoy a good computer to get on the pearl jam site to bullshit around and shoot the breeze with all you fantastic and not so fantastic people. i also like music and writing poetry. i love women & relaxation/meditation hour. i do not like mitt romney. i do not like george w bush. i do in fact love boobs, both small & large

i love the spiritual world and have learned a great deal about being alive. when we leave this life it will finally be on like donkey kong even moreso than this here life could ever imagine. i think about this stuff basically everyday all day long. my ADD/ADHD head works good with several thoughts at once so i'm covered.
i'll try to in the next few hours or days write up a short story or two about my supernatural experiences.for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

why can't you leave your scientific reasoning at the door and just accept it as a supernatural event and call it a day, zoso? you do not have to understand this stuff for it to be very much real. science in our human being realm is a fucking minimal sliver of brilliance. it is actually one grain of sand in a galaxy sized sandbox.Zoso wrote:comebackgirl wrote:Zoso wrote:

My grandmother use to tell us young kids many times that God and His Angels are watching over us. I grew up believing Angels took care of us in a spiritual way.
Here is some info I've been reading on Angels - in no way does anyone need to believe this. I just find it interesting...
Angels are so much more than chubby cherubs on greeting cards. They are powerful spirits who know, love and serve God with their whole being...
The English word "angel" is derived from the Greek ἄγγελος (angelos), The Hebrew and Greek words in ancient times meant messenger, and depending on the context may refer either to a human messenger or a supernatural messenger....
Angels provide various functions in day to day life. Their main role is to be guardians and messengers... Other services they offer range from helping people make decisions, to more serious roles like saving lives.
Angels are there to help steer individuals through the difficulties they encounter by providing insight, awareness, support and encouragement in every situation that is faced throughout a humans entire lifetime.*********************************************************************************************

I was visited by angels, once. I told them to scram and to go help somebody that didn't have any food."First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win ."

Evidently, theres common themes that NDE (near death encounters) people come back to a concious state and relate. A new book out called "Proof of heaven" (I think Alexander is the guys last name) written by a neurosurgeon who hung out in a coma for 7 days, recants that experience. To him, angels are orbs and his experience was more real than reality itself.
Here's my question; why are we forever prone to haggle over to prove or disprove what's unknown? I'd say spirituality is inate in us or we wouldn't be so fixated on it.
I like basking in the endless possibilities that my imagination comes up with — not what others tell me to believe. This is one thing I don't like about organized religions. And, I wholly believe spirituality is something we must covet for our indiviudal needs, not left exposed for others to manipulate.0 -

I didn't read his book, but read his story in an article. And after nearly dying myself from a car accident (but not "dying and coming back") I have my own story about angels, including whenever I shoot photos now, I get orbs in them. They seem to follow me.
I don't get the need to prove or disprove. I've always believed that anything is possible. Perhaps needing concrete evidence one way or the other narrows possibilities. It's what I believe anyways.0 -

Could you post some of those pics with the orbs?"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win ."
