I was looking at my guidebook in the food section and it refers to this thing called the Febo.

Anyone care to explain what this is? The description says it's something like hot fast food in a machine.

This is funny! Febo is the name of a chain of nationwide "snackbars". In a snackbar you can buy all kinds of deep fried stuff, like chips/french fries but also a lot of local delicatessen like "kroket", "frikandel". Usually served with lots a mayonaise, ketchup and other greasy stuff. You have to tried it - it is not very good for your arteries but after a good night out nothing tastes better!

After the food has been prepared they will put it in a little window in the wall where it is heated. You put in money and you can open the window of your choice.

Does this make sense? Anyway, you just have to experience it yourself!

Cool. So it's what you Dutch people eat after a big night instead of a big oily kebab :)

Not sure about extra trains, but I know there will definitely be shuttle busses to the central station in Nijmegen.
A few years back when I was there with Rock in the Park they had extra trains to quite some cities and since there's a lot of festivals there this summer I expect they'll work something out.

And Hinny: we also have oily kebab and garlic sauce if you miss it :)

I'm not sure it's going to matter what the food tastes like after spending time in them coffeeshops

I'll be back in Holland some other time. The way it is, I'm really just going to be in the 'Dam the day and night after Werchter before I go home- it's all about unwinding after all them shows. I can find out what the Netherlands has to offer the next time around when I actually have some quality time :)

Hope you're right 'cos it seems there are no affordable rooms/beds left in the city of Nijmegen:(

Uhm... about the last support act...

Is it very dumb of me to mention that since Mudhoney will be playing the famous Tivoli-club in Utrecht a week later, they might be the last support act?

Would be willing to pick up sum of the gas expenses and share:

sum Pink Kush from Barney's Breakfast Bar,
sum Grey Mist Trichromes from the Grey Area, and
sum Berry white from The Noon.

I go to the Dam a few times a year. Pearl Jam is a lovely added bonus.

Just got my tickets yesterday through http://www.ticketmaster.nl.
    SOOOOO excited over here!!! :D
Goffert Park looks like a beeeeautiul place for a show. And a PJ show at that?? *faints* Wooow. :o

And without having to read through the whole thread....the support act?? I'm guessing it's no longer Incubus?? *sniff sniff*
So it's still 'to be announced' then?

Well "FUCKIN A" indeed my PJ friends!
This is going to be A-MAZING!!

Just succumbed and bought tickets and flights this morning!! I'd done all my research, and while listening to the Leeds boot, the missus just said "Do it, right now... get tickets for Holland". Really excited

How are the UKers getting there? We're flying from Stansted on the morning of the 28th (and driving there with a half empty car from Yorkshire). Our flights at 10.30ish from Stansted to Weeze, we're then driving a hire car (half empty again) to the venue and back to the airport straight after for a 7am flight back to London

If anyone wants to jump in the car with us at either end, pm me or email tremor_krist@hotmail.com

Awesome, me and my girl are travelling from Sheffield too! We're going the day before though, train to London then a flight from Gatwick to Amsterdam. Train to Nijmegen, hanging there and then going travelling to somewhere else for a bit after, fuck knows where at the moment.

This probally been up before but anyway.

Lookin at the train timetable, found out that the last train 00:20 is taking 6 hours to amsterdam, with a stop somewere for like 4 hours.

So a guess they have like buses after the show, because 10 000 people couldn´t be staying nijmegen.

So are their any bus tables somewere?
