The public ticket sales haven't started, so it's basically only 10CLub members at the moment... There shoulds be more czechs and general punters after may 15th... we just have to kick off the party and wait for them to arrive...

Please dont spill the peanuts before they arrive.

I heard from a friend who's cousin's dog once pissed on a lamppost that was fixed by an electrician who's brother is a cleaner at the Saska Arena that Karel Gott was supporting. I checked his website... and I think he would be free...

    Hi ya' all

Anybody already booked hostel/hotel in Prague? With my husband, since we'll be staying 4 nights in Prague we were wondering in which neighborhood/ district should we stay. In the centre/historical centre or the Art Nouveau district? We want to be close to all the historical sites but also in a street/neighborhood with lots of bars/restaurants and fun things to do at night.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

    Peace from Argentina

not booked yet CatarinaA.... no knowledge of Prague but one of the scots posted a link earlier in this thread for a hotel................. you will be joining the pre and post drinks / sampling of fine cuisine?
    Salut baloo
  • Does anyone has an extra 10C ticket? I will be doing 16 shows, and I already have my Prague tickets, but in the last minute my best friend -who lives in Denmark- decided to come to the show, but I had already traded the other ticket... So she doesn't have a ticket and I feel terribly guilty (even though it wasn't my fault... I think)

I'd really, really appreciate if someone could give me a hand... specially with a 10C ticket (not a general public ticket) so could be together at the show.
    Thanks again!

    Hi Caterina,

Prague is a relatively small city and the centre is rather focussed. The outer regions are heavily residential so dont have so many hotels etc.

I would get a hotel in the/close to city centre but trawl the net to get a good price as many of the obvious ones are overpriced. If you do get one further out, the transport system is really good anyway so you would have no problems.

    Hi Scot

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Actually that was what we had in mind, either to stay in Prague 1 or Prague 3.

    See ya' all there!!!

I've only ever seen prague in the winter... so I'm looking forward to see her out in the sunny weather, although I don't think I'll like the numbers of tourists very much.

Hey, I can't find info on a Hotel Adler in Prague, i can find them in other places. Give me the details and i can let you know about how to get around. It'll be easy enough.

Bars near to the arena: I dont know, its kinda in a residential area but there are pubs EVERYWHERE in Czech Rep, its THE beer culture so no problems there.

shouldsmithhang: Us Scots arent doing Dublin coz we're gonna be kicking it in Eastern Europe at the time.

Nice hotel, its in the area of Andel (hence name). Its a nice area in the south west of the city centre. Actually, the stop very near to the hotel is on line B which is the one metro you will take to get to the arena. The staropramen brewery is also near to the hotel.

A very good choice if i must say. I used to do my shopping in Andel and was never out of the cinema there haha.

You'll love the city and the weather should be nice enough around then, couple that with Czech beer and Pearl Jam....ahhh.

2 all let u know. In Prag it is extreamly easy to get to the Arena by subway. U can get there from any station in like 30 min max. And some beer tip. Try to find some bar-pub or restaurant someware away from main streets. U will be able to get grait beer for 0,5 EUR, u wil be able to spent time in very nice company.
There is one thing more be aware of the foor. They have one of the wors kichens in the world :-)
    Hope to see u there!

The cuisine(Foriegners always say kitchen, but in english we use the french), is not as bad as dutch... and I'm sure dutch isn;t the worst. The cuisine is simple and functional. You can get a nice goulash and potatoe dumplings though.. I didn;t mind the food when I was there...

On the underground, remember to validate your ticket, as people look at you funny when two men in kilts are running the wrong way up a very steep and long escalator.

. You can get a nice goulash ....

Uummmm.. .goulash.... my grand-mother was east european and she made great goulash! Shame... I'm not going to Prague!

Shame that goulaash and dumplings in 10 000 tasts is the only thing Prag will offer :-)
But there is one more thing... no mather how bead food is the beer is the best in the world...
And Prag as the city... one of the most butifull places on earth.
I love Prag and will do my best to to celebrate PJ's concetr there :-)

This is the website. But if I understood correctly, you can't buy the tickets online, using a credit card. Apparently, if you're from abroad you can contact them by email and make the reservation, but the money needs to be transfered directly to their bank account, with a seven days deadline. It's all on their website, but I don't know if I got it right.
I also need the tickets for Prague, so if anyone has some useful informations...

Try the Cloister Inn. I dont think its possible to get a better location. 2 minutes from New and Old town and its up a side street so its really quiet.Trust me...
