Man, sorry folks for my absence!!

Im just trying to sort shit out for moving to Amsterdam, obviously amongst all the PJ stuff so im a bit stressed and have a lot on.

Anyway, Prague is the biggy for me, can't wait to get back. It looks like we have a distinct lack of Czechs on here as i thought. Don't worry, there are plenty of PJ Czechs. As i said before, i'm still more than happy to sort the Prague "meetup", hopefully by then we'll get a Czech or two onboard.

For those of you who haven't "met" me, i lived in Prague for 6 months so i know the place pretty well and will be able to get a meetup happening with no worries about getting to the venue in time etc.

Will need to dust off the kilt soon ;-)

P.S. EVO: there are plenty of places to see the old firm game. Rocky O'reillys just off Wenceslas square will have it on and there is a good chance you'll see some Scots there!

I hope they have vodka or rum in prague. Beer is not the best to drink before a 4 hours standing where you don´t want to loose you place=).
    Sweden is gonna be there!

By the way. Do you all think we should gattering under the encore and scream for like Leash or something =)?. More people=More power

I don't know when i'll be arriving in Prague yet. I want to be there a couple of days before to see old friends etc but im not sure what's happening yet. Berlin after for me and the 3 others im with too. Most likely train but nothing set in stone at all.

I'll certainly organise a meetup on the day, before the gig, in due time.

Oh and kirkwood, they have it all in Prague. Czechs are mad for their own rum which is always the cheapest spirit on the menu but be warned, it is as rough as a badgers ass!! Haha.

I'll try somehow to recruit some Czechs for the meetup. Once my buddy gets back from his travels (v. soon) i'll get him to change the thread title so that when the Czechs google the gig they'll see the thread.

I'm also gonna get myself on the forums for some rock bars in Prague.

I've heard of one called Roxy Music, but it would be good to have more options

Yeah the Roxy used to be a cool rock bar and venue but the locals complained about the noise etc so it is now an absynthe bar and isnt what it used to be. To be honest, most of the Czechs will be in their local pubs, i'll try the rock cafe on narodni, no doubt there will be a few loitering there.

Oh, oh... the waiting is getting harder as the day is getting closer.
    Cheers to all.

So, what about having this Rock Cafe that you mentioned as a preparty spot for the 21?

I may have 2 tickets available to the Prague show but I won't know until after this weekend.

I live in Detroit and already own the tickets but my trip to Prague may get cancelled.

I haven't looked lately, is this show sold out? Anyhow, I will POST if tickets are available.

very bummed to think of missing not only Prague but PJ in Prague!

    bye for now.
  • Hi,

My mate and I are going to the Prague gig and we both bought a pair of ten club tickets, thinking that we'd easily find two more mates to come with us. For some crazy reason no-one wants to come with us.

Therefore, we have two spare 10c tickets available if anybody would like to buy them from us. Obviously we can't give you the tickets until the day of the gig when we collect them and we wouldn't expect payment until then.

So this whole arrangement will rely on a large degree of trust. Luckily we're trustworthy guys and so we won't let you down. Is anyone interested in these tickets then?

Also, we have booked an apartment in Prague for three nights beginning the 21st Sept and will be hanging out in the white city for a few days. The apartment is only one bedroom but has four beds. So we also have two spare places in our accomodation too. If anyone is interested in sharing the apartment to cut down costs then we could sell a bed for about £20 per night. The tickets we will sell at face value which was about £40 each I believe.

    So... any offers?

We could have the meet-up in the Rock Cafe, it's something i'm looking into. I have another few bars as possible venues that are a bit bigger. I do however have to consider the fact that it will be a friday so places will be busy. I'll decide what bar is best and i'll make a booking giving us enough time.

I'll get Scotinamsterdam to adjust the first post with a list of people gonna be at the meet-up to give me an idea of the numbers.

The Finns: All PJ people are welcome, see ya there.

Oh, and me and the 3 people im with are heading to Berlin after too.

Well the Reading gig has now gone down in rock history (what a night :))
Now I'm looking forward to Prague sooo much.

We gotta keep this thread on the front page so we know where to meet in Prague.

I dont arrive till 21.20 in Prague on the 21st so not much chance of drinking a lot that night :( after checking in to our hotel in the city.

But the 22nd will be all about Pearl Jam and I cant wait !

Do we know how many people are meeting up?

    *********

ps I am praying they play Black cos they didnt at Astoria or Reading (though both shows were still the best 2 concerts I've seen in 26 years of attending gigs.

dunno why but I have a gut feeling that Prague may just be the best.....

I've been talking about it for 6 years and now I'm doing it.....going to see Pearl Jam in Prague!! Coming all the way from the San Francisco Bay Area and cannot wait to be in Prague for a few days leading up to the PJ show there. Really looking forward to meeting many European PJ fans and feeling the amazing energy that will be in that building that night! Any czech fans on this board?
