The day of the show, you can get a ticket for $2,595. If it doesn't sell out.

    U.S. Recipe for 2012:

    Take three parts festivals
Add in one part solo/gig charity
    Add in 20% corporate spinoffs

Mix is really small pot and call it a tour :|

attending the conference allows you to go to the Oracle Appreciation Event other tickets will NOT

Yes, but my point is that PJ isn't charging $2400. They are playing a show which is part of a package that also includes, the conference, meals, etc.

larry ellsion is the worlds 5th richest person and the 3rd richect in the USA...

between 2000-2010 he was the best paid executive of the decqde and as CEO his compensation in 2008 was $84,598,700...

and he bought and owns 98% of Hawaii's 6th largest island, Lanai

there is nothing wrong with being rich, but considering how the greed and compensation of executives in the US is helping destory the economy eat away at the wages of the average american, it's interesting company the boys are choosing to keep nowadays...

Trust me, I deal with Oracle everyday and seeing how the company operates regarding licensing their software to companies, it's G-R-E-E-D with a capital G every time. It's outrageous. Having said that, this is just a user appreciation event, it's intended for people that use Oracle not Oracle employee's themselves. Tom Petty played the event last year, maybe that's what gave Pearl Jam the thought to do it?

Still don't know how I feel about this. Think I'm mildly disappointed but at the same time, it's probably easy money. I'm still stuck on Pearl Jam + Oracle. It's just weird more than anything else, for me!

While it's fine and all that they want to play events like this (as it very much is their right) I hope songs like Soon Forget never pop up in their sets again. If you think Mick Jagger still singing about not being able to get any satisfaction is ridiculous now that he's a gazillionaire with 74 kids from 74 different supermodels I don't see how you think seeing Ed singing about how "corporations rule the day" or "the haves have not a clue" is really any different...

I thought 10C was gonna try and give us a heads up on concerts?

Clearly the corporate world has more influence...

I don't blame them for doing it but it does leave a weird taste in the mouth...

Guess that's why they decided against the 2nd show in Missoula. Probably gonna drive straight there on Monday the 1st.

Right cause you know me and you know what I would do! Hilarious! :nono: Why would I support a CEO that pays himself the salary that he pays himself? Pearl Jam have become exactly what they use to preach against. They are part of the machine! Now I feel dirty for being a fan!

Mike was right about a SF gig.

Well, I've been waiting for this, as I was the one to break the news on here after Mike told me about an upcoming SF gig at the FTM show here in Vegas this past May. I was thinking how he left me hanging and what he must've been thinking when telling me about a SF gig. I was thinking, how did he screw up Missoula for SF? Glad to finally hear this, but wish it was more open to all.
