10C Competition,
I've just opened my 10c newsletter email and got rather excited about the competition- trip to Seattle. But guess what, when I log in, this comp is only open to those in the US. Come on 10C what about the rest of the world.
I know This prize is a bit unrealistic to offer to everyone, but if you are running this type of comp surely something else should be offered to the rest of us- a signed T shirt maybe- we're not greedy - just annoyed
I usually never bitch, but since you are solitciing feedback, here goes...
Ok so female jammers kinda get slighted a little with the choices of shirts. And then when there finally is a cute one, you only make about 10 of them. lol The Wrigley sweatshirt was the most adorable PJ shirt ever! I waited 4 hours in the heat for it and they said it sold out in like the first 30 minutes. WTF? I saw one on ebay and it sold for $175!! Please 10C can you make more of these for us female jammers so we can look cute and cool at the same time? Please and thank you.
The whole lottery system needs revamped. The first 2 Pearl Jam shows I went to were in 2000 and 2003, and I had no issue getting decent seats through the fan club. Since then this whole lottery thing is a waste.
Instead of having people be able to get tickets to every show through the lottery, go back to having a limit. Some people can't travel all over. If I enter a lottery for Columbus tickets (Obviously not this tour) because I live in Columbus, but get shut out due to someone who won the lottery for their 8th show who lives in New York really sucks, so I'm stuck going through Ticketmaster and getting worse seats for more money, even though I've been in the fanclub for close to 15 years.

My understanding of the lottery is that they go to 1st choices first and allocate tickets. If not all tickets are then gone they move to people who had the show as 2nd choice and so on through the choices until all the 10c tickets are gone. This means that someone who had a show as 8th choice cant get it over someone who had it 1st choice but someone who has selected a number of shows with lower demand could get a number of tickets while someone who only picks high demand shows might get none.
A number of people have made statements about people getting their 8th, 9th etc choice but has anyone actually found someone who got a ticket as lower choice where someone who had it as a higher choice did not? I havent actually seen this stated anywhere. I think the lottery is working just fine! For example....Im not aware of anyone getting seattle tickets who didnt have it as 1st choice, unless their 2nd choice was for reserved seatinig.

According to the 10C lottery rules first round goes to those with priority 1. If there's tickets left after that the second round goes to those with priority 2 and so on...
Although this is completely fair, there is a loophole in this system that allows for people with a lower priority to get 10C tickets over someone with a higher priority. This has to do with the GA/RES ticket pools. Now it is possible that someone with priority 3 for RES wins tickets and someone with priority 1 for GA doesn't win any. This is why GA/RES should be a PREFERENCE and not a deciding factor.
EXAMPLE:
IF 10C has lets say 2000 tickets, than 1000 names should be drawn and tickets should be allocated according to preference (GA/RES).
Lucky clubber 1 wins 2 ticks and preferred GA.
Lucky clubber 2 wins 2 ticks and preferred RES.
...
Lucky clubber 813 wins 2 ticks and preferred GA but all GA tickets are allocated -> gets RES
Lucky clubber 814 wins 2 RES ticks...
Lucky clubber 1000 wins the last 2 RES ticks.
The choice between GA/RES shouldn't impact your chances on winning 10C tickets whatsoever! :nono:
I don't know of any clubber who would not take RES seats over... no tickets.
more/new bags and more/new stickers would be great.
(i'm still sad i missed the vitalogy bag, i know it's been a while now and chances are very low, but would be amazing if they would be back in the store one day.)
I think the lottery is working just fine! For example....Im not aware of anyone getting seattle tickets who didnt have it as 1st choice, unless their 2nd choice was for reserved seatinig.
but i'm aware of people who had seattle 1st and 2nd choice and didn't get tickets - and who are desperately waiting for a second show/chance (yeah, that's me and my sister) : )
My only complaint is this-- when there is supposed to be a limit on posters (such as at Wrigley) then why is that not enforced? I waited in line for 4 hours and no poster. Waited two hours the next day, no poster. I realize demand is high. I do. And I don't blame the band for greedy fans.
However, I know I saw people walking away with 8 to 10 posters. This hardly seems fair to me. And I'll die before I pay some scumbag $100 for a poster. The band made the music and I want THE BAND to have my money. The same thing happened with stickers at Wrigley. I was limited to 2 (which is fine) but the lady next to me bought 6 of each kind. This seems wrong to me.
I love the band I want them to get my money. THEY deserve my money. Couldn't they sell posters online before the show for those in 10C who want them and just mail them-- sight unseen? Something?
Probably been said before but can't be said enough....
Please have an online poster pre-sale!!!
it gets cumbersome carrying around a poster tube at the show when you're trying to rock out. Don't always have the luxury of taking it back to car or hotel.

Wasn't the limit 2 of EACH poster? So people could have 8 posters, since there were 4 different ones...

Will Pearl Jam be releasing anymore 2013 North America tour dates? There are plenty of 10c members who are out of reaching distance to the currently scheduled shows! Thanks
I don't know if it has been suggested or not but here goes. I love having the official soundboard boots for the shows I have been to. What I would really love now is an official DVD or Downloadable Video Content of all the shows from the tour. I would think a single camera mount on the soundboard would work and allow the whole show to be recorded.
Also because there have been others who have suggested it I would love to get the official boots for PJ20 night 1 and 2.
I'm a nice person. I can't believe that I was unfriended

This POV is very refreshing and I appreciate it as I am considered a "new" member and feel very blessed to have been able to attend Wrigley and now Dallas for my first GA. Thank you.

See... I'm happy for you. You have the opportunity to get an up close view of this great live band. You understand, there is no guarantee of your location at the gig... but, there exists the promise of a great view.
And yours is the story of many of our fan mates... this is a first time shot at something those of us, that have stuck around for a while, have already experienced... on numerous occasions.
I'm not one of those fans that 'collects' shows... or songs. Not that I'm knocking it, it's just not for me. I'm one of those each show is an experience people. I've seen the band from the front row to the rafters and it's all good. In fact, i was glad to be up in the 416 Section of Wrigley Field because i didn't feel like dealing with the hassles of the general admission and am glad I spent my time in that beautiful city, with my beautiful girl and our wonderful friends. I can only speak for myself in saying, I am more than happy to share. i never HAVE to HAVE something... other than the things i need... food, air, water... love.
If that is 'socialism'... sharing with others and a sense of selflessness... then, i suppose, i am a socialist.
Have fun at the gig and I hope you get what you a hoping for.
honestly, you do not get my original point. It looks like you got tickets so you are not sharing anything. I never said I HAD to have anything, I just believe that if you have been there for say 17 years it should mean something towards better access to tickets than newer members.
also as I mentioned in my original post there is no reason why tickets should not be available on the ticketmaster website if they are available to the ticketmaster phone application. If they are available they should be available in all ways ticketmaster sells tickets.

The extra shirt I received in my Wrigley setlist shirt order was a nice surprise, thanks. I'd like to think you looked at my attending show history and sported me a solid.
Although it raises a question: how much old stuff do you have piled up (the shirt was from 09)? If you're looking to get rid of random things, I suggest a "mystery package" order for the shop to get rid of the old stuff taking up valuable warehouse space. With a new album & tour upcoming, that extra space could come in handy. Like $20 for a shirt + stickers/patches/buttons/etc collecting dust.
I may be mistaken, but I think this has been done once before via the 10C.

Then, please, what exactly is your original point?
That even though you won your First Pick... you feel that you deserve more because you've been in the club for over 15 years, right?
And yeah... i got my ONE First Pick and I'm happy with that. I don't need to get every pick i made to be happy... I'm happy most people here got one pair, rather than me getting 4 pairs because I've been a member for 17 years. i don't deserve any special treatment just because i've been a member longer than others. All i ask for is a fair shot at the tickets... for everyone... you, me and the kid that just joined last year.
...
As for TicketMaster's practices... that is far beyond the reach of anyone... including the fan club, the band and it's management. You need to take up that issue with TicketMaster, not this Fan Club.
