Well things are looking up the last 3-5 days. That's good to see.

This Bryant kid is going to be the real deal! No doubt in my mind that this kid is going to be a hell of a major league baseball player. As of now, he is leading all of Spring Training, with 6 dingers. Lets just hope the team can improve on its defense in the next few weeks. But again, its good to see them start winning a few games.

Anyone hear what Bryant's agent Scott Boras has been saying? He is pissed the Cubs might send his client down for the first 2 weeks of the season so the Cubs can control Bryant for 7 years, not 6. They will bring him back up late April to get another year out of him. I am all for it, I sure hope Theo doesn't give in to this…If Bryant is the real deal in 7 years he maybe the first 500 million Dollar player and Boras will probably push him to go to the Yankee's like he always does.

Cubs would be foolish not to keep him down those 1st few weeks.

    It's business
    It's the smart move.

Yeah, no way they should have him on the opening day roster. Can't believe that rule is in the CBA....players really get fucked by it in scenarios like this.

    2 weeks until Opening Day.

I am going to give these kids a chance.
I am going to stay positive, as long as possible.
I am going to enjoy the young talent, that THEO has put together.

Then about 3 weeks in to the season, I will probably throw a shoe through the television set!

Yea, between bryant, rizzo, casto, russel, and this soler guy the offense is there. I think the cubs are a pitcher or 2 shy of being a real contender. But that is something that can be acquired sometime now and the 2016 season. It's definitely getting exciting on the north side.

Is the fact that these clowns will probably not have the Bleacher construction ready until 2018!

I'll have to get to a few Iowa Cubs games early this year to catch Bryant in town one last time. I think I saw him 4 or 5 times last year and he never hit a home run while I was there. I'd like to see him do that once before he goes up and hits 35 homers and wins rookie of the year this season!

I've been obsessive over researching prospects for a while now due to being in fantasy dynasty leagues. Become more of a fan of baseball as a whole and am really excited to see this cubs team come together.

I was thinking today how the Houston passed on both Byron Buxton and Kris Bryant. I hope to god Correa and Appel pan out for that team because could end up being two huge mistakes. Buxton isn't up yet, but his tools draw comparisons to Trout and is still the #1 prospect in baseball despite being injured most of last season.

The last Cub to lead the league in HR was Sosa when he hit 49 in '02. Last NLer to hit 50 was Fielder in '07. Let's play a little Pardon the Interruption:

Kris Bryant hits 50 HR this year, despite the "late" call up. Over or under?

If he hits 50 HR this year, it will go down as one of the greatest rookie seasons of all time! I will be extremely happy if he hits 30+ HR this year. So UNDER!

Definitely under. He still had a reasonably high strike out rate in the minors last year and a lot of great young hitters have initially struggled when they have first been called up. I'm going with 25 HR this year, .270 average, 150K. I hope i'm wrong though, haha.

Yeah, the best rookie season ever considering the rookie record is 49 by McGwire.

If he hits 30, Cubs fans should be ecstatic. I was going to say I would take under 30, but anything over 25, you should be thrilled at.

I think Mcguire still holds the rookie record with 49 HRs. I'd say he hits 25-30 if he's called up in late april. And I'd be perfectly fine with that.
