Eh, too reactionary right now. See where he is at the end of the season. As long as Robel Garcia pt 2 doesn't happen with him, then sign him and hope he keeps Yeliching for us.
What a surprise. Another "The talent is there, it just needs to click" take from Joe Maddon. Same shit we've heard since 2017 started.
I genuinely wonder if he knows how long he’s been saying “just wait for it to click.” I mean, on one hand it’s a very smart move by him. Keep saying it long enough and eventually he’ll be right. By that time he’ll be long gone I suspect.
And so now they can win on the road and not at home? I hope they click at the right time in September/October, but my expectations have changed significantly.

Every game is completely unpredictable what you’re gonna get out of them. It makes me happy to see them play games like tonight, but then that usually follows with 5 hits in the next 2 games combined. I’ll just enjoy the small victories like Darvish kicking ass & Baez finally showing up when needed.
Maybe this weekend... maybe... just maybe... could we have a lineup consisting of Zobrist, Bryant, Baez, Rizzo, Contreras, Heyward, Schwarber, & Castellanos? All on the field at the same time? Please. It feels like it's been since spring training that they were all together (minus Nick).
Say goodbye to the Cubs "dynasty" that never was. Ever since the 2016 season ended, it's been nothing but injuries, horrible and/or pathetic off-season moves, or just flat out sucking at baseball. The window has shut.

GOD I FUCKING HATE THE BREWERS!!!
Don't get me wrong, when they scored in the 7th, the place erupted.
