Well, Monty is gone. Picked a great night to get his first career save, ending the longest championship drought in North American professional sports history. Thanks Mike! #38 forever a Cubs legend!

Yep. Will always be remembered for that special moment. That aside, the Reds OWN the Cubs and it is pretty embarrassing.
The emotion in the 6th after sitting Puig down! That's what I want to see from this guy! Yesterday was the first game since April he's thrown 40% or more fastballs, relying on the pitch 55.5% of the time. He's getting his confidence back and with that, we can see what he's capable of doing. He hit around 98mph on 6 different pitches to Puig across 2 at-bats. Good stuff!

Yeah, I loved to see the emotion. You could really tell he was feeling it yesterday! I hope...I really hope, it continues.

Did I see a stat that this was his first win at Wrigley Field EVER? Anyone else see that or am I mistaken?

Over the course of the last 3 seasons, I'm curious as to how many times I have bitched about Strops dumbass on this thread. The dude is a fucking fuck bag that needs to be gone. The praise he has received is unwarranted. He does great when the game is lopsided one way or the other. Whipty fucking ding dong!!! My brother claims I dislike him because of the way he wears his hat. Lemme tell you - his hat makes him look like a dope, yes. But I could not care less how big of a dope he looks like, if he would just perform decently when he is relied upon. When he fails to do so, I begin to dislike him. Him looking like a dope just compounds the rest.
And I was in bed when he fucked up this game, but I am going to confidently guess that after blowing this game, he walked off the field and gave his shout out or appreciation or what-the-fuckever to the man upstairs.
The FUCK Joseph Maddon? Nobody else in the bullpen could do worse in pressure situations (sans the repeatedly demoted Edwards). Please try something else over a period of time. Anything.
The hat does make it worse. If he was a lights-out stud, I think he could get away with whatever he wanted. Because he's a terrible pitcher, the hat makes him look like a much bigger jackass. I mean, if you're an opposing batter, you're set to face off against Strop...you may not remember anything about him, the name, the pitches he throws....but all you remember is "It's the terrible pitcher with the goofy hat who's all but certain to get us back in this game".
He wears his hat crooked to honor his father. Or grandfather. One of his paternal figures. I can’t rag on him for that. And for the last 5 1/2 years I’ve been the first to jump to his defense when he has a bad outing. I still look at 2013-18 and say he is he best reliever we’ve had since Randy Myers. It was just that when he blew a game, he really blew a fucking game. But this year is a different story. He’s been nothing but meltdown after meltdown after meltdown. I’m curious as to how many games the Cubs have lost this season when leading in the 8th. It seems to be a lot. Also, great job on the Dyerstyle rant, @darwinstheory!
Easy fellas, Zobrist is going to be starting a rehab assignment.
Those 2 runs were charged to Kintzler, which is obviously correct. But don't think I didn't notice who was on the fucking mound when those two fucking runs scored. How can they consistently swing and miss on their bullpen guys this much? I mean, it's just an awful percentage. I get games will be blown, but this is excessive! Maybe they need a 7 man rotation and less bullpen guys. Use their starters more than 5⅓ innings.

I'm sorry, I just can't help but to fuck with you some.
even if I look and act really crazy.

@HesCalledDyer style rant over....for now.
