There are channels for them to pursue citizenship here legally. I'm not against immigration. I truly believe this is a great country. I said grandparents and I want to stand corrected . It was my great grandparents. I just don't see how this is unresonable. I truly don't. If we want to protect the borders, let's protect them. Put the wall up three miles inside US territory...put up warning signs in every language possible warning illegals of the ramifications. Hell, even have depots with guards who can explain what will happen in case the illegals can't read any language that as soon as they get to the wall you will be shot. I guarantee the problem will become almost non existent.

I hear you, but you were coming across so black and white, and i agree , at this point , do it the right way, but i can also understand being scared.

I am black and white on this issue actually. This is one of my personal hot buttons. Solidify the borders and a lot of bad in this country can be negated and then move onto the next issue. Just my honest opinion.

I'm for very strict border control (at the BORDER) and very strict deportation laws for the most part. What I'm not for is infringing on every citizen's rights in order to try to police this. It is ineffective at best and unconstitutional at worst.

As for "illegals" (as you call them) running off into the desert and dying. I don't like it, but they are breaking the law and making a choice. I don't think we should provide water/gatorade stands and tents to help them by any means.

my heart does not bleed for illegal immigrants...it bleeds for road blocks on american roads...not border crossings...no matter why you are hear you are afforded the protections of the constitution, which has due process limits. That applies to everyone here in the US...illegally or not...
