Yeah, I thought that was done really well. Hoping they pick it up for a third season. Still no official announcement even though Daniels and a couple others have said they have been told it's coming back.

in general liked the episode but thought will and mack getting engaged was a pretty ridiculous leap from where they've been personally for the whole season.

don and neil were great this season. thought their characters really developed and took off this year. hopefully if/when they come back for another season those two are featured again.

all in all a good season.

i thought it was kind of wonky for them to get engaged as well.

but anytime 2 people have that kind of history together that chemistry will always be there, and that love never goes away. it may go dormant, but it will always be an underlying force in the relationship.

will promised he would love her the rest of his life and he would never hurt her again. i tend to believe him... but that would not make for interesting tv, ya know? i think they set it up for just in case it is not renewed. happy endings all around.

    SOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

 It was a great finale. I was very happy with the way they left it. I thought Sorkin wasn't going to answer as many questions as he did.. It was good all around, didn't have me complaining about anything.

Bring on Season 2! Can't wait to see how they report Syria after they messed up Genoa..

    That WAS season 2

I also found Will's proposal & the announcement to the whole newsroom about it to be a bit of a stretch as well. I think just the proposal wouldn't have been as bad as the proposal + announcement combo.

It just felt like a weird end to me because we spent the first half of the season going back and forth about Genoa and learning what happened and Maggie & her possible mental problems, and then the season ends with Will & Mac getting engaged, Sloan kissing Don when she figures out he bid up her book at the Sandy auction, and Maggie talking to her roommate. No resolution on her condition nor the Genoa lawsuit. Just a bit odd.

but it's still a great show and hopefully jeff daniels is right that the show will be back

I personally thought the ending was cheese galore. It screamed of a writer quickly wrapping up loose ends knowing the uncertainty of it coming back.
Personally I think we've seen the last new episode of 'The Newsroom". Pity, as it had spectacular moments and incredible characters and dialogue. But the Maggie, Jim, Don, Mac and Will love stuff got old (for me) fast. Loved the Charlie and Sloan characters and most of what Will did.

This comes back Sunday. I didn't realize that this last season was only 6 episodes. Will be interesting to see what Sorkin does what this last few episodes since the last episode of season 2 really felt like a series finale.

Yeah, i know what you mean about season 2 ending show. I'm expecting a 'wrap up' kind of season and not one that goes to indepth with anything... i hope i am wrong.
