it says it gets ~20 mpg...so you are looking at anouther 30-35 per person in gas. all in is about 250 a person...
something to consider.....but a little more than i was hoping to spend....i'll do some more shopping and see what i can find. i'd love to get it down to the 150 per person range.

Cramped cars are no good, obviously, but my car averages 35 mpg and comfortably seats three. A 1,600 mile round trip with $4 gas comes out to about $121 a person. We find two or three more cars like this, and we have ourselves a caravan, people!

Oh, and I don't think your math is right ... it's 1,600 miles there from Chicago, and then 1,600 back, so that's a 3,200 round trip. Divided by 20 comes to 160 gallons, which at $4/gallon is $64. So I think Speedy is more spot on ... close to $300 a person for travel, plus food and stuff.

are you looking at making the trip
very doubtful. did not get the same enthusiastic response from the woman as when Alpine was announced last year. It was "Montana? really? um, no."
especially now that she started new job that is only a few blocks from the Philly festival

True, but about the same as a flight (I'm guessing) and four times as much as a four-seater car that gets good-to-great gas mileage.
"Let's check Idaho."

We have NEVER done something like this....

to be fair...i was doing 2K miles...
so for the van i did 2000/9 = 222 + gas at 3000/20*3.75 = 29 = 251
And drink Keystone...
Now its $220 a man......
hehehehe
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
Well, I'm fairly crushed.
Going to leave numbers to another person from now on; back to words I go!
"Let's check Idaho."
gas prices, mpg, and total miles could change it. i think 275-300 is a reasonable number...
plus food, camping, tickets and beer.
i'd pay yoru share of gas.
