Great surfing today, Slater took the round. Looks like it will all come down to Pipeline between Slater and Parkinson.

I think if he was going up anyone besides Slater it would of been a 9 for sure. Dusty's air was sick, :shock: I can't believe he pulled it off. There was definitely some good swell this afternoon, and it looks like it might hold through tomorrow hopefully. I'm glad Slater advanced to bring the championship down to Pipeline. It's going to be fun to watch and see how the rest of the event unfolds.

awesome year i must say.....obviously this event is huge....but pipe could be epic

we need a sick swell starting DECEMBER 8TH

Cool article. It's amazing that when Kelly feels like he is having a horrible day, he is still better than the majority of the field. The guy is amazing! I think it is so cool that we get to witness him surf in our lifetime. Seeing him play RITW with Pearl Jam in 06 San Diego wasn't half bad either.

living in NYC im not star struck ever ,but when i got my 2 minutes with him at the quik ny after party.....i was lost
i think becasue he lost to Owen i was alittle more uptight when i walked over
all the aussie's were partying on the other side of the pool and he was chilling with his gf and twin brother

We have sad news to share. Local hero Dylan Smith, who helped rescue 6 people on his surfboard from fire during Sandy, died Saturday surfing in Puerto Rico. You can read about his lifesaving heroics below in People Magazine.
