I can't get into this event when the conditions are so shitty. I know these are the best surfers in the world, but when it's under 6' it makes it hard to watch.

I think if he was going up anyone besides Slater it would of been a 9 for sure. Dusty's air was sick, :shock: I can't believe he pulled it off. There was definitely some good swell this afternoon, and it looks like it might hold through tomorrow hopefully. I'm glad Slater advanced to bring the championship down to Pipeline. It's going to be fun to watch and see how the rest of the event unfolds.

Cool article. It's amazing that when Kelly feels like he is having a horrible day, he is still better than the majority of the field. The guy is amazing! I think it is so cool that we get to witness him surf in our lifetime. Seeing him play RITW with Pearl Jam in 06 San Diego wasn't half bad either.
