Iran must be thrilled starting a two front war against Israel on 10/7/23, it got them the destruction of Gaza, trump in the white house, extracted from Lebanon and now Syria. Maybe it's time for trump to go for the throat and heart of mideast challenges, Iran.
So there aren't at least three different Wikipedia pages on Trump's threats against Iran? I am no fan of 47 but he sees Iran as it truly is and proves itself to be all the time.
Of the three assassination plots the one we know the most about is the one directly from Iran. They know he is serious.

Big warning sign for me- the rebels called it 'a victory for the nation of Islam'. Not, 'a victory for the oppressed people of Syria' or the hundreds of other ways you could have phrased it. Assad is out it. That is good. But is he being replaced with religious fanatics?

No doubt glad that monster is out but now who fills that vacuum space? Could totally bring that country down

Seems Israel is capitalizing on yet another neighbor's instability in the region. A battle for Syria by the surrounding countries seems like the path it's headed for.

Syrian rebels deliver American to U.S. military post, photos show Today at 3:36 p.m. ET By Abbie Cheeseman, John Hudson, Missy Ryan and Michael Birnbaum A missing U.S. citizen has been safely passed to the American government, after he was freed from Syrian government detention during the fall of the Assad regime earlier this week. Travis Timmerman was found on the outskirts of Damascus on Thursday after being freed from seven months of detention in a Syrian prison. On Friday, the rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, also known as HTS, said they handed Timmerman to a U.S. military garrison in southeastern Syria. A U.S. defense official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter, said Timmerman was transferred to the U.S. military and later taken by helicopter to Jordan. The handover, mediated by the U.S.-based Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF), was one of the first visible instances of indirect coordination between U.S. personnel and the Syrian rebels who took power earlier this week. The U.S. government considers the rebel group a terrorist organization. SETF shared photos of the handover with The Washington Post. In the photos, Timmerman is seen standing between a representative from Syria’s new interim government and a U.S. Army officer at the Al Tanf garrison.

DAMASCUS, Syria — A luxury villa dominates a hilltop overlooking the countryside just 15 miles outside the capital, Damascus. The driveway has a streak of white powder leading to the entrance. The ground is sticky, and the air is filled with a strong smell of tar. People wait in long lines to enter Lebanon from Syria. Many more than were heading in the other direction.
A battered pickup truck with an anti-aircraft gun is parked at the top of the driveway. The large garden is unkempt and the swimming pool is dirty and abandoned. All this hints at a more sinister story inside; this was a factory for a highly addictive drug called Captagon.
For the past several years, the regime of Syria's ousted president, Bashar al-Assad, produced and trafficked in Captagon, sending it to countries throughout the region, where it was popular among young people. The Assad government earned billions of dollars in a desperate attempt to prop up an economy that collapsed during the country's long civil war.
