I love Americana. I think what Neil and the horse have done with these old songs is nothing short of amazing. They totally make these songs their own. And only Neil would have the balls to make an album like this. And plus nothing beats Neil when he is with Crazy Horse.

I'm not impressed with the pricing for the Toronto show; I'm not surprised by it, but was hoping for more similar prices to the other shows in other provinces.

That said,I was willing to shell out 200 dollars for GA, but not 275. Now I have to figure out where I should sit.

Cheapest seats sold out for MSG? Guess I won't be going unless I find cheap tix close to the show.

Anyone know anything about the Calgary Pre-Sale? It says LiveNation App, which I have on my iPhone, but I have yet to receive an email with the password.

How much are Floor GAs for Calgary?

    EDIT:
    CA $59.50 (CA $47.50 Ticket + CA $12.00 Fees)
    CA $199.25 (CA $183.00 Ticket + CA $16.25 Fees)

So I assume $200 for lower bowl and GA floor?

I'm assuming the highest price is floors and good 100s. I think with the app it will recognize that you're using it and have access to the presale, though I could be wrong. Otherwise you should find a password on the LN Facebook page.

I'm pretty sure GA Floors will be $90 to $100. The last time NY played the ACC, lower bowl seating close to the stage was $250, and GA floor was $75. So don't fret, GA floor will be less than $200 for sure.

Anyone have any idea of more shows will be announced? There are still $53 seats available for Chicago, but after all the traveling we are doing this year, I'm not really itching to drive somewhere at this point.

Has there been any mention of more dates? It looks like there are a few chunks of open time, but I suppose its not as simple as just plugging in a date here or there...

Super dig the new album and really want to see him once again when he goes on tour. Saw him @ The Chicago Theater in 07 I think? He was rocking out the whole time, this was when Chrome Dreams II came out. I thought he was going to hurt himself cause he was bobbing up and down like a maniac. He still loves what he does and it's amazing seeing him live.
  • Picked up Americana today :D
Thinking about going to the Boston show in November.

I will be seeing Ed in Tulsa the week before that

Uncle Neil coming to my area (Windsor)to kick off tour October 3...so pumped for that concert...the arena probably only holds 7000 for a concert. he biggest name to come here along with Elton John. Should be a great show.

  • I miss some in this thread, like Trans, Old Ways, Landing on Water, Life... And Trans, I know a lot of fans don't like this. Get some beer, get some food and listen to this:

    Concert part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqnYW4EPzfE
I do like songs as Sample and Hold played as in 1986.

Chrome Dreams, a 1977 unreleased album. Contains River of Pride (released as White Line on Ragged Glory): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aaoi1_P8qY8

What I also like about Neil Young: Too Far Gone, Country Home, Fucking Up, River of Pride, all songs come from the seventies. But are released on albums since 1989...

I still remember the last tour Neil did with Ben Keith. I saw Ben Keith with Neil Young for the first time in 2009. At that moment, I didn't knew it would be the last time. It was a great show. Biggest surprise was Lost in Space, not much played live.
The setlist of that show: http://www.sugarmtn.org/show.php?show=200906070
Larry Craigg played banjo on Old Man, sounded great!
