Just heard Wonderful Life...I really liked it. Are Brian's new songs similar to that, or very different? I wish he would bring his solo to Australia.

Not sure, we haven't heard the new album yet! But I expect them to be more similar than different. His 2nd single, Nobody Wins, has also been released!

I thought he had been playing some new songs while he was touring. Sorry I got that mixed up. I'll have to look out for Nobody wins, thanks for letting me know.
  • He has been playing some of the new songs on tour. You can see some live versions on youtube.

Does anyone know how I can find out when Painkillers cd will be released in Australia?
Digital comes out on 11th March. But I would prefer the cd. I can't find anywhere to contact Brian Fallon's publicist to shoot them an email. Thanks

Starting to love the new version of smoke but I loved the old one so was really hard to get used to at first. Not sure which is my favorite?

Heres a good new interview. Though not encouraged by the gaslight comments, though I do not think they are done.

Brian is always strange when he talks. I thought he was more open and honest than he normally is here.

I don't think his or Gaslights intention was the ever be an arena band.

so yeah. toward the end it got less awkward but yeah. he is totally the guy like us that made it but didn't change. and that is more sad than anything. it just proves that the music business is fucked up.

    Steve McQueen, another great track
  • Got to see Brian at Sweetwater last night. Such a great show. He seemed relaxed and happy. His voice was also in fine form. He said they will be swinging by again soon, so that's good news. image

  • I was very late to this party. I first came into contact with Gaslight when they were on the same bill with PJ at ACL Fest two years ago. I've been fairly obsessed with them since (and then they "went on hiatus"). So glad Brian Fallon is still putting out songs.

I've been telling people, if I had been born 15 years later -- if they had come out when I was an impressionable, lovelorn teenager -- Gaslight Anthem would be my favorite band of all time.
