I love TGA.  I think Brian Fallon is among the best song writers going today.  Unfortunately they came on the scene after the heights of rock music and there are so few radio stations even playing rock.  They deserve a bigger audience and more fame.
I loved them pre-hiatus and things have not clicked the same way for me post-hiatus. It’s felt off since the 59 Sound show I saw in 2018.
I oddly feel the same way.  LOVED TGA from 2010-2018ish.  Was at the 59 Sound reunion shows in DC, which to this day were 2 of the best shows I've ever been to.

With that being said, it fell off hard for me after that, and I just could not get into the newest album the way I had in the past.  At this point, I don't have a huge desire to see them unless they're playing down the road.  Not sure why...

I'm with you both here.  59 sound anniversary show I saw was incredible.  Saw them once after they got back together and just didn't hit the same way.  History Books was decent but wasn't blown away by it or anything.  I'll go see a show if I can (last time in Chicago was same night as PJ Wrigley show) but don't think I'll ever be as crazy about them as I once was.

saw brian fallon at reggies in chicago.  he looked like he was having fun. emily wolfe on drums was nice.
does anyone know why he is doing such small venues that sold out so fast?

The worst of times..they don't phase me,
