Last night he went on at 845. We literally walked in right before the lights went down. The show was great even though the venue was a little subdued. The crowd say for pretty much the whole show. Good part everyone was quiet and respectful for the quieter songs. The new stuff is really great. Love Rosemary especially. Can't wait for the new album and to see him again in March. He also said he's got a record store day release with Tin Pan Alley and the blues Mary coming out.

Show last night was great! Had a great spot an Alex's side. Brian was very chatty tonight, which i really enjoyed. The crowd had the right amount of yelling out to egg him on and spark some funny stories from Brian without being over the top.

I loved the Horrible Crowes / MATZ songs as full band, highlights were Crush and Behold the Hurricane. Brian also mentioned how he really appreciates how the crowd didn't talk during the new songs we don't know, which surprised me a little, everyone knew he was gonna play new songs, and we are all being quiet because we want to hear them!

Out of the new songs, I really liked Rosemary, Wonderful Life, Honey magnolia, and Low Love. I wish he put that on the new album! Brian said it would be part of the record store day release.

Surprisingly nice venue/couple blocks of Wilmington. Hit the stage about 9:05 and was done at 10:40. Hung out with Nart and Dustin pre-show but then I lost them until the end somehow haha

Next show: Electric Factory March 8th and Starland March 12th!

Has anyone heard about a pre order for Brian's upcoming album? I want to make sure I get this ordered so it arrives by the release date.

It's funny how this one thread is more informative that the gaslight anthem entire forum. Cheers to all here!

So true. The people that run it are great but it's a very odd forum. I think there's only like 10 people that really contribute. And even before the band was on hiatus.

Yeah, that whole forum and their "fan club" is pretty rough. Hopefully when TGA comes off hiatus and has a new album, they get serious about their fan club.

Went to the Webster Hall show last night.

Thought it was great. Band was really tight. The new songs sounded really really good. Still wish though they were more familiar going in.

From what I can remember I liked the reworked version of Long Drives, Steve McQueen and Open All Night best. The cover of Atlantic City was awesome too as was Wonderful Life.

Fallon is just a great songwriter.

What he is not great at though is stage banter. He's the WORST at that. Know idea what he was rambling about half the time. I think he tries to be Ryan Adams weird when it comes to that and only Ryan can pull that level of rambling off.

in NC he started talking about cell phone reception and ended up bringing up Ed Ved and the ukulele. great show, though. hopefully someone recorded it.

That's funny you guys think this way, I really enjoy his stage banter. He comes off as very genuine and not fake. I think his ramblings are funny as hell and that makes the show more interesting than if they just powered through the songs.

oh. I don't mind it really, I just get embarrassed for him. you can tell his bandmates do too.
I just grew up going to shows will great storytellers like Ed and Michael Stipe, so it takes some getting use to. I def believe he is a genuine guy. probably gets nervous at every show still.

I've always found his between song banter to have that awkward, "I feel bad for this guy" feel to it. Like that scene in Swingers when Favreau's character won't stop leaving voice mails.
I get everyone can't be Eddie, but with some people less is definitely more.
