I had a heated discussion with a guy at work that made me think about this. He thought it was ridiculous you couldn't be an effective left handed throwing catcher. I still don't see it.

A lefty catcher would get killed out there, not sure why he thinks it's even an option. Every play at the plate he would either be out of position or get crushed, I'm sure you brought that point up what did he say about that?

i hate to say it, but i don't see why a lefty can't catch...besides lack of left gloves.

I gave up because I just really didn't care enough. I just showed him the article and told him if he was somehow smarter than over a 100 years of professional managers, players, scouts, etc. he's in the wrong business.:lol:

Isn't Mike Mussina one of the oldest to win 20 games in a season?

The's one of the four. Anyone else want to give a shot at the other two?

Remembered Mussina finally getting his 20 win year. Anything else from me is purely a guess....

and I'll guess old bloody sock (Curt Schilling)...I know it was later on in his career when he got his first 20 win year, but I don't know if he's one of the 4 oldest?

I think Cy Young was up there in age when he won 20.

Don't know about that but the question is the 4 oldest when they first won 20 games. Jamie Moyer and Mike Mussina have already been answered correctly.

Got it, it wasn't Cy Young's first, but I think his last was in his early 40's. I have no idea who the other 2 are. I have a feeling that they are from a long time ago.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me if it was some obscure guy from when the NL first started...
