Landis is in the HoF. He was a judge. I think this is a trick question, and its worded wrong. There are several people in the hall that never played.

i do beleive you are correct....quick google search indicates abbot and costello.

    sooo...

i don't know the answer, but i was wondering...

has a team ever pinch hit for the cycle.

ie. you pinch hit for the pitcher...and that guy hits a hr....later, you pinch hit for the SS and PH hits a double....then later.....you PH for somebody and get a single....and later a PH gets a triple

so in conclusion, 4 individual pinch hitters get a single, double, triple, and HR...all hits occur when they pinch hit...the hit can't come in a second at bat later in teh game.

My uncle was a reporter for the Boston Record American.
I think it was 1968. He was able to get me on the Minn Twins team bus after the game.
I was 10. I had a seat on the bus as the players filed in. I remember they were drinking and swearing.
One player said "get this punk out of here". Chico Cardenas then said "no let the little boy sit there ".
Who was the very famous HR hitter that wanted me off the bus ? :corn:
