    losing was orioles... in the late 80s... something like 23 games.

    not sure about longest winning streak, but i know the tigers were 35-5 once.

    i think the winning streak was asked once..but....
    in the AL it's 20 by oakland
    in the NL it's damn...it escapes me right now.

    pretty sure the NL streak was a couple of games longer.

    :lol: You found the page I got this from. I had a heated discussion with a guy at work that made me think about this. He thought it was ridiculous you couldn't be an effective left handed throwing catcher. I still don't see it.

    A lefty catcher would get killed out there, not sure why he thinks it's even an option. Every play at the plate he would either be out of position or get crushed, I'm sure you brought that point up what did he say about that?
