His walk up song is Kashmir, I say he is a HOF player but not a 1st ballot. 2B is a shit position and he should be recognized. Soriano, Kent, Boone (roids?) are the similar players stat-wise.
Ryno wasn't either (got in on his 3rd year) but yes he is WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY better than Utley ever hoped he could've been. The only 2B there are even arguments for best all-time other than Sandberg are Hornsby, Morgan, Alomar, & Kent. Utley doesn't touch ANY of those guys.

Are you serious? Thought he was a first ballot guy. Sports writers are such idiots.

Yep, still pisses me off that Alomar got in 2nd year with 85% and it took Ryno 3 years. And Ryno barely made it still, getting 76.1% of votes (75% needed). Sports writers are, indeed, idiots. The fact that Bonds is now in his 5th year of eligibility and hasn't even come close to getting in shows how fucking stupid they are. One thing cannot be disputed - Ryno gave one of the absolute best induction speeches ever!

Ryne sandberg is by far my favorite cub. How could you not vote for him as a HoFer? Makes zero sense.
Sportswriters think they control the game with that fucking vote. I think anyone that didn't vote for sandberg should lose their vote for 5 years. The dick bags that didn't vote for Griffey Jr should lose their vote for 5 years. The jackasses that don't vote for Ichiro should lose their vote for 5 years.
The steroid era players like bonds, clemens, bagwell, McGuire, palmerio, etc are a tough call for me. Obviously they are hall of famers. But I can't fault a guy for not voting for them based on drug use. But if that's your argument, how can you induct the amphetamine users of the 60s, 70s, and 80s?
will myself to find a home, a home within myself we will find a way, we will find our place
Name the first player born in the 1990s to appear in a major league game. Hint, he tied a record (held by many) belting a homer in his first at bat and drove in a first-game record six runs.
