So this girl I kinda, sorta know through a friend at work called me up tonight. She invited me to be her date for her friend's wedding.

My first reaction is....yea sign me up!!! (i.e OPEN BAR).

I ask her when the wedding is. She says sometime in May.

Now I'm thinking SHIT. It better not be May 12th, 13th, 27th or 28th. (all PJ concerts)

She checks the invite, the wedding is Sunday MAY 28th.

So I kinda say "uh yeah. Let me check my schedule and get back to you."

    Oh well.

PJ Camden night #2 vs. a Wedding.

I think the choice is pretty simple...

    What would Vince Neil do?

YEA. not surprised. word on the street is that JERSEY sucks. and unless the band in question had a hit record from the 1980's (i.e. Bruce, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard) there is a slim chance JERSEY people will buy tickets for that show.

Hence, not enough demand to add a 3rd show.

You could suggest having the wedding moved to the Tweeter parking lot. ;)

I'm sure that would be a wedding to remember.

Question: Why not make Wed. May 31st an "off" day after the DC show and just schedule the xtra show for Friday May 2nd @ East Rutherford?

As it stands right now, Friday May 2nd is an "off" day for PJ which makes no sense. What kind of rock n roll band sits at home on a Friday night when there is music to be played and tailgating to be done....?

That would work out better cuz it would be 6/1, 6/2, and 6/3 all in order.

I agree. I mean if you're going to play 3 nights in a row (DC, NJ 1 and NJ 2) as scheduled right now. Wouldn't it make more sense to play the 3 Jersey shows in a row.

Also if it were a weekend, potential sales would be much better.

Yea. not a bad idea. I kinda feel bad turning this girl down but she needs to realize PJ is more important. Plus since I bought 10c tickets I can't re-sell them or void the sale.

    What would Vince Neil do?

Vince Neil would attend the PJ show. drink heavily in the parking lot. After the PJ show he would drive to the wedding in a limo, arrive loaded and drunk. Proceed to take all the bridesmaids back to his hotel room for an orgy full of sex, drugs and booze. He would then party until the sun came up the next morning and drink an entire bottle of Captain Morgan straight for breakfast the next day.

That is the first thing I thought of. Why not make it a FRIDAY night show = better ticket sales.

Seriously, is there *any* chance the Devils or Nets will still be in the playoffs by then??

Sounds like a plan though I think Vince is more a whiskey guy then a rum guy.

Devils always have a slight shot because if Brodeur gets hot who knows. Nets will be down and out by the end of the 2nd round.

I also thought if they really want that Friday off, why not have the show on Sunday, June 4th. It's not like they have another stop to make the next day on the tour.

Yea. the one thing is it's pretty much a slam-dunk guarantee that I will get some action that night.

After all there is no substitue for "wedding date" sex.

    Factor in following:

The "wedding atmosphere "- Girls get all emotional about being single, and seeing their friend get married. And they start thinking about getting married so they want to attach themsleves to the first single guy they can find.

Open Bar- After 2 or 3 glasses of wine 90% of the women in attendance are already tipsy.

The Hotel Factor-A lot of weddings are at a Hotel or have some type of shuttle service back to a hotel. All it takes is one short elevator ride back to Booty-Town.

Add that up and you have 100% guaranteed. "Wedding Date" sex!!!

this theory about wedding date sex only holds up in cases where the woman is a complete moron.

Weddings are awesome. One of ya'lls need to get engaged so you can invite my black ass. Seriously. I fucking LOVE weddings.

The funnest wedding ever was (surprise surprise) Makul's wedding. Open bar, crazy. It was in Morgantown WV. We sang Van Halen's "Panama" to Makul & his fine white woman. It was so bad, I remember getting a beer (draft) and by the tie I got to my seat, it was empty. No, I didn't stop & talk for 10 mins. The hangover was incredible but wow what a great time. I was married but went "stag" because the ex was out of town traveling. Yes I was a good boy.

I need to go to Morgantown again.

In her defense she was born in 1981. She was barely in grade school when the drummer from Def Leppard lost his arm and Steve Perry left Journey. She doesn't know any better. ;) lol
