Everyone remembers the movies and the toys, but did anyone ever own and listen to The Empire Strikes Back on vinyl?

Did anyone ever own a Fisher-Price Movie Viewer Theater? You put the movie cartridge in the projector and had to rotate the handle to play the movie on the wall, or you can watch it on the little screen.

I remember those. My brother had one.

I remember when the milkman and sodaman made deliveries right to your house. Oh, and the Charlie Chip guy.

So they are bringing back the commercials, apparently there is an ENTIRE GENERATION of kids that have no idea what this means:

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

A friend of mine shared this, it is sadly so true!

Cheap shit cassette players. I hated when they ate my tapes.

Almost as much as when the Cd's would skip in the middle of my favorite songs.
"Then the Spirit of God hovered over the water, and God said, Let there be music, and there was Pearl Jam."

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

i am pleased they threw dave out. dave rocks 400 times more than what metallica can do. but these albums were staples. I found masters of puppets in junior high & shit totally hit the fucking fan. kill 'em all's
(Anasthesia) Pulling Teeth is purely insanely awesome. as well as garage days... I had that metallica video tape "cliff 'em all" that came out in the 80's.

then megadeth opened my eyes even more than metallica. dave's a guitar & lyricist genius

This was my absolute favourite toy in the 80s

    grandstand-invader-from-space-06.jpg

It only had 3 levels and one volume - LOUD! The 'alien invaders' changed colour as they got closer to the bottom of the screen - but only because the plastic on the screen had different colours on it! If you tilted it you could see different colours. I still have it somewhere and, apart from the tape holding the batteries in, it still works fine :)
