All through the day, I me mine, I me mine, I me mine.

I don't condone overfeeding the ego (like me on facebook! follow me on twitter!), but I think there has to be a good amount of focus on oneself...you know, getting your own shit together before taking on other shit, better shit. Although, taking on the additional shit can also help get your own shit together.

makes sense...and if i read this at facebook, i'd be able to "like" it. :)

So I ask, is this possible?

I've used the expression before (and mistakenly thought I abided by it), but as I get older and wisdom adheres - I hope - in reality, do we not live our life and make decisions based on judgments?

    Of others - and ourselves?

Whether based on experience, on instinct, what have you.

    I do.

Some conclusions drawn mean nothing in the long run; others make you think "hmmm, not sure about this person, this deed - keep away" or "yeah, a good egg".

Thinking about a whole lot of nothing this morning, I suppose.
    ...
I'm judged by people all the time. I suppose I bring it on myself at times because I say what I believe as truthfully as I see it. It doesn't always come out all unicorns pissing rainbows and love, love, love... but, at least it the relative truth, as I see it.
And yeah, i judge others. If people are full of shit or dicks and assholes, I tend to edit them from my life. Life is too short to have to deal with crap from people I really don't give a shit about. I don't love everybody and don't want or expect everybody to love me. I am certain that I am edited out of other people's live who don't want to deal with my crap... and hell, I don't blame them.

There certainly will always be jags... the self centered who live in a self world.
See them everyday on the roads, in the stores, on the news, everywhere.

I like to think though that many don't realize what they do,
that their actions are not always out of a bad place.
I figure they have life's problems and disappointments, that many were not taught
from small on the Golden Rule, that somehow their brains are wired to really
    not think of other's feelings.

Perhaps those who are quick to judge and not give any benefit of the doubt to others
can actually learn as much as those jags about being loving and accepting.
