Only just posting about Saturday as have not been been able to get on forum. I have had to download Google Chrome to get in (how fast is it by the way?)
Saturday at the Lowry was fantastic - Chris was fantastic. I went with a couple of friends who only really know him for 'You Know My Name' so it was a surprise to get that first song. They loved the rest of the gig too. Personal Highlights for me were 'When I'm Down' and 'Day In The Life'. I didn't know that about Jeff Buckley's phone - nice touch. Great start to what should be a great week.

I saw him at The Lowry and it was incredible. Blow up the outside world was intense, Hunger Strike and Black Hole Sun were amazing and Thank You was incredible.
I would like to ask a MASSIVE favour from somebody on here.
Is anybody able to send me the versions of Thank You available as bonus tracks from his website (http://chriscornell.com/songbook). This is a special song for me and my fiancee and we would love to have it at our wedding. The version on the songbook cd has some guy yelling at the beginning and the previously available version from Stockholm isn't performed as well as he does it now.
I would have bought them, but for some bizarre reason they are not available to international customers.
It would mean so much to us if someone could find a way of providing us with these songs.
London got 'Sweet Euphoria' and 'Getaway Car'. Just Wow. The guy is a legend. Wish I had seen those but Manchester was amazing so I can't complain.

Chris Cornell covers The Beatles for Paul McCartney's birthday - video Soundgarden and Audioslave singer brings his stripped-back 'Songbook' tour to the London Palladium
Chris Cornell played an intimate acoustic show last night (June 18) at London's Palladium theatre, covering the likes of Michael Jackson, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles, and paying tribute to Paul McCartney – in honour of his 70th birthday.
Cornell told the crowd: "It's Paul McCartney’s birthday today. He's 70. He was knighted. You know why he was knighted? He paid taxes...which I'm not sure is worth it. People call me sir sometimes, and I didn't pay shit…but I love him though."
During the two and a half hour set, Cornell played stripped down, acoustic versions of songs spanning his entire musical career, including hits such as 'Black Hole Sun' and 'Like A Stone', as well as most of the tracks from his latest solo record, 'Songbook'.
A talkative Cornell struck up conversations with audience members, who were calling out song requests for him to play. At one point he said the setlist assistance was "more constructive than Parliament".
After mistakenly hearing one of the requests as 'Transylvania', he proceeded to write a short song on the spot, featuring the lines: "It has a bad rep because of Count Dracula/But I say, that was a long time ago/We need to let it go/Do they have a football team?".
Before playing 'Wide Awake', a track off of Audioslave's third record 'Revelations' which was written in response to Hurricane Katrina, Cornell said that although it’s not no longer a "hot topic", the government's response to the situation was "disgusting and sickening" and he therefore needs to continue to remind people about it.
To close his show, he covered The Beatles' 1967 track 'A Day In The Life'. (click on article link above for video, I can't get youtube at work!).

what a fantastic show in paris. chris was in high spirits, had his family side stage. just an awesome show, he even spent 15 minutes after the show signing stuff for the fans.
Not really related to the tour in the UK, but totally related to Cornell. Never heard this gem on youtube before and now I REALLY want to hear it live next solo tour.
Comments
2 and half hours start to finish pretty much, very impressed.
What's the red telephone for? Was half expecting a Love cover
Guess it's his way of paying homage to a lost friend.
Thanks, how sweet

Setlist http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/chris-cor ... f24d4.html
+ Transylvania (which is not mentioned on the setlist!)
What a fucking show, I mean perfect setlist apart from Be Yourself and Dandelion not being in there! Big surprise. Not fussed about Imagine.
I was worried the first few songs about his voice but he really warmed up n just nailed everything. What a god!!!
Lets see what Birmingham has in store!!
He just needed a couple of songs to clear the frogs in his throat! Have a great time in Birmingham!
