    cool. yeah not as good as previous stuff, not bad though. I like this song better than the other one.

    Grinder is definitely the better of the 2. His real talent is his live performances, so any excuse to tour again is fine by me.

    Based on his tour schedule, looks like he'll be playing Coachella in April. Hopefully he'll get a "Localchella" show in LA around that time too.

    I bought it. Listened to it a couple times over the weekend while doing housework but haven't had the chance to sit down and give it my full attention yet.
    Offhand, I definitely like it less than Blak & Blu. This album seems to lean a little more R&B/Soul than blues rock but there's some stuff I like. Kinda like the acoustic based song "Church." My favorite Gary Clark Jr. tracks are the ones where he rips on guitar like "When My Train Pulls In" and "Numb" and there's not as much of that style on this album.
    Still really excited to see him in the coming weeks, opening for the Foos as well as his in-store at Amoeba Hollywood.

    He will always be a great live act. That is his bread and butter. Not unlike many other genius blues rock guitarists. Anyone who's seen or heard him live knows how great he really is.

    I think he's a little stifled by the studio and also a little afraid to make straight dad rock blues.

    Have to give this album a few more spins but it didn't really do anything for me.
