    Based on his tour schedule, looks like he'll be playing Coachella in April. Hopefully he'll get a "Localchella" show in LA around that time too.

    I bought it. Listened to it a couple times over the weekend while doing housework but haven't had the chance to sit down and give it my full attention yet.
    Offhand, I definitely like it less than Blak & Blu. This album seems to lean a little more R&B/Soul than blues rock but there's some stuff I like. Kinda like the acoustic based song "Church." My favorite Gary Clark Jr. tracks are the ones where he rips on guitar like "When My Train Pulls In" and "Numb" and there's not as much of that style on this album.
    Still really excited to see him in the coming weeks, opening for the Foos as well as his in-store at Amoeba Hollywood.

    He will always be a great live act. That is his bread and butter. Not unlike many other genius blues rock guitarists. Anyone who's seen or heard him live knows how great he really is.

    I think he's a little stifled by the studio and also a little afraid to make straight dad rock blues.

    Have to give this album a few more spins but it didn't really do anything for me.

    Thanks to a very kind 10c member, got to see Gary's show last night. He always slays. I think this was my favorite time I've seen him out of the 3 times I've seen him. Seriously, the guy can PLAY! I had a blast. A definite highlight was Numb. A dude standing in the front had a 'Gary, can I play Numb with you' sign, and Gary looks at him, points, and is like .....sure. Hands him his guitar and the guy shreds!! Real good stuff! And he's all into it, on his knees facing the amp, interacting with the other band members--you could tell this was probably the peak moment of his life. I'll have to post the video whenever I find it on YouTube. Such a great night! He was the bright light in the big city last night for sure :)

    Yesterday Gary came out at 9 on the dot, ended at 11 on the dot. I would assume the opener is from 8-8:30 if doors are at 7. Last night it was just a house DJ spinning until Gary.

    I like him but gotta say I was disappointed seeing him live.
    Moments of greatness where he just could have taken over!Like serious Shredder!
    But then steeped back and R and Bd us to sleep!:(

    i was the exact opposite when i saw him live. loved him. on his latest tour he turned one song up way too loud on purpose(he told us by pre apologizing-LOL). i took a friend who didn't even know his name and they were hugely impressed. see him live and you will be a fan. pretty hard to not get it when you see it.

    Im with you. Saw him a few weeks ago and he was incredible. Played for over 2 hours and killed it. Couldn't complain about one minute of the show.

    Went to his solo show in LA last week and it was amazing! Having seen him several times full band, I was blown away by hearing him play stripped down to just guitar and vocal. It was good I ended up buying late release tix, 2nd row center, and going again night 2. So good.
