  • No, thanks. This is always a waste of time (either party). The Democrats will cheer every policy announcement he makes while Republicans sit on their hands, everyone will cheer him lauding a service man/woman and some disadvantaged person he has sitting next to his wife, and this year will be a glorified political rally for his re-election campaign.

For this one in particular I do like how he's announced he's going to give a blueprint for how to fix the economy. 3 years in, and he's just getting around to this?
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    CONservative governMENt

Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a law-breaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. - Louis Brandeis

Complain? :| I'm not sure how watching an re-election speech will change what I complain about or how loudy I complain.

Well you should give them one more chance to teach you the error of your ways.

Give me a break...Obama has never been close to being liberal.
He's a centrist just like Clinton, the dem before him. A true liberal will never sit in the Whitehouse. A centrist will be the farthest left well ever see. Sadly, as the right gets further right...the center also moves...

It was good shit.. It's funny cause I was sitting there watching all of this unfold thinking to myself, I remember being young and pissed off cause this was taking over the T.V. that I wanted to watch and now here I am, a grown man who gives a shit about the world I live in and I get to witness this in person.. Great experience.

He makes an awesome speech

Being small business we are feeling the surge, maybe hiring again this year!
Having just refinanced our home, combining 1st and 2nd mortgages at 3.5 % HUD,
    closing today...
we are liking that interest rate!
Seeing the houses moving again in our community with ours on the market soon
this improvement keeps me very hopeful :D

I just wish we could come together as a country for each other, compromise and
get done what we need to be strong.

It is survival and that should be basic.

    great sales pitch !!!
my thoughts...this guy could sell salt to snails ! some of his stuff was great like the tax increase for outsourcing jobs and product mfg. but the bottom line for me...same old story same old song and dance, that's what all his ideas will ever be..a sales pitch and that's a shame because some of them are just what I wanted to hear.

    Very cool.
    hippiemom = goodness
  • I have a lot of respect for the President. Selling salt to the snails is good. The country needs a pep talk. I'm not a fan of those who try to assassinate his character. He has been nothing but diplomatic to opposing leaders to seem to get their joy from backstabbing him.

That is true. Its like driving a car. We're ready to go over the cliff if someone doesnt make some major driving corrections soon.

Not a fan of Obama, but being able to witness would be an experience regardless of who is in office.
