  • And also, I know he has mental health problems. But now he's committed felony assault. So yes, I say throw his ass in jail. Two dudes can't just beat the shit out of a delivery guy.

One of the main reasons I can't stand this guy is the same reason I can't stand Trump (even if you think I like him), I hate people that rip other people off. Especially rich assholes that rip off people that already have less money than them. I know...he came from a rough upbringing. Fine. But now, as an adult, AB's the same sort of a rich asshole that Trump is. He and Trump probably have a lot of the same mental health issues actually. Only AB has a more violent streak.
AB ever drone strike someone? Or brag about shooting someone on 5th Avenue and getting away with it? How about looking the other way while a US journalist is murdered, chopped up and disappeared? Or incite a crowd to rough up someone who disagrees? On the sexual assault score I’d argue they’re about even.
Nah just rape, threatening children, pushing his baby-mama to the ground, and assaulting a delivery man. But give him time. Trump does have like 40 years on him. He’ll catch up.

    So, he's already been convicted?

    That was quick.

    He has?

    Jeez that WAS quick.

    God bless his probation officer.

"Did you go to your mental health evaluation today?"

    "Fuck you cracker!"

Hopefully he uses this opportunity to turns things around. I don't think he'll play in the NFL again. But for his kids' sake, he needs to shape up.

SO when he tries to stiff the court on the 100K for the bail (like he stiffs everyone) they'll keep him locked up.

I think his bigger issue will be abiding by whatever recommendations the mental health eval makes. It could recommend frequent therapy, or that he not be allowed to own a gun, or something else that may piss him off. He also has to stay clear of any new incidents before this assault case is heard or dismissed.

  • Statement from the Saints. The part that is bolded was bolded by them, not me.

"While there is current litigation relative to the New Orleans Archdiocese and clergy sex abuse, our comments are limited only to the scope of our involvement. The New Orleans Saints organization has always had a very strong relationship with the Archdiocese. The Archdiocese reached out to a number of community and civic minded leaders seeking counsel on handling the pending media attention that would come with the release of the clergy names in November of 2018. Greg Bensel, Senior Vice President of Communications for the New Orleans Saints, was contacted and offered input on how to work with the media. The advice was simple and never wavering. Be direct, open and fully transparent, while making sure that all law enforcement agencies were alerted. The New Orleans Saints, Greg Bensel and Mrs. Gayle Benson were and remain offended, disappointed and repulsed by the actions of certain past clergy. We remain steadfast in support of the victims who have suffered and pray for their continued healing.

Further, the Saints have no interest in concealing information from the press or public. At the current discovery stage in the case of Doe v. Archdiocese, the Saints, through their counsel, have merely requested the court to apply the normal rules of civil discovery to the documents that the Saints produced and delivered to Mr. Doe's counsel. Until the documents are admitted into evidence at a public trial or hearing in the context of relevant testimony by persons having knowledge of the documents and the events to which they pertain, the use of the documents should be limited to the parties to the case and their attorneys. If admitted into evidence of the case, the documents and the testimony pertaining to them will become part of the public record of the trial of the case."

Eli goes in.  He beat the goat twice.

I shut off the Hernandez doc in episode 1 when I saw those roadside Pats fans professing their love for the Prison Van containing AH heading back to Walpole after an early court appearance. Eli beat him too.

    Gay?  Who gives a shit?

Philip moved on first, to Florida.
Chargers potentially going after Brady or Brees if either makes it to 3/18.

But he had that tricked out vehicle for his daily ride, made it seem like he loved SD, then as soon as his contract is up, pack up the 137 kids and move to Florida.

  • As a Chiefs fan, I will say that the induction of Steve Atwater into the Pro Football HOF is long overdue.  He was easily one of the best safeties of his generation.

So, who have you got? And what are you snacking on?

I honestly don’t care who wins, as long as it is a good game, no blowouts

if forced, I will pick the Chiefs for Mahomes despite the other dbags on the team

    and probably wings

Well, I'm a Texans fan...but we live in KC. SO, we're rooting for the Chiefs since they knocked out our team.

I made some kickass queso last night and will be grilling chicken, burgers & brats.
    I LOVE MUSIC.

  • Niners fan.

Woke up this morning and was bummed there was no story about Kelce and Hill missing curfew and being benched or anything like that.  ;)

The fan in me will be pumped up and convinced our D can limit the Chiefs on big plays and the Niners O will have their way with KC's Defense.

The non fan look for me is that I don't see how we can slow down their deep hits and it is a 50-47 type of game.  Scary, heart attack stuff.

Always fun to watch your favorite team in the big dance --- trying to tie for the most ever Lombardi 🏆s

Oh, and making chili and crab salad as the two main foods since I can prepare in advance and focus on the game as it gets close.  Some shrimp tacos and pigs in the blanket/Mac n cheese for the folks who are not down for the main shit.
All easy stuff when I need to focus on stressing out throughout the game.  :)

Mixed feelings on this one. Would like to see Reid get one. Like mahomes. But have a buddy who is at the game with the niners so would be cool for him to go to a celebration party after the game rather than the losing funeral ones
  • I just can’t pick.  I do believe it will be close and high-scoring.  Two tremendous offensive coaching staffs will be playing chess out there tonight.

I'll go SF 38, KC 27 with a late defensive TD (hopefully a scoop and score on a Hill fumble) to thwart the Chiefs' late drive and hit my 8,7 square.
