Reggie Bush is such a douche bag..... can this asshole actually walk around Southern Cali without someone wanting to throw a dollar bill at him like a stripper?
All those guys busting their ass for a title and he has to get bling bling a few months before the draft
I love it when these morons go to twitter....its fantastic really. U piece of Trash
Anyone think the Lions can beat the Packers this Sunday?
I think the Lions can win.
Ok good, so I'm not crazy.
they play much better at home ...
Yeah that's what I'm counting on. Big double or nothing bet against my cousin. If he wins again I'll never hear the end of it. Plus I'll owe him 40 bucks.
Go Lions

Getting old sucks. I dread prime time games. The first this I wanted to do when I woke up was to go back to sleep.
gotta move out west. I used to live in Ohio. World Series games end at like midnight. Terrible.
where the hell is Goodell hiding? For $40M per year, you'd think he could say something.

NFL is scaling back on pink gear this year. Probably cause they figure this is the year that they get exposed for making tons of profit by using a charity to build their female fan base.

off NFL topic....I gotta give it to Susan G Komen, etc. for raising breast cancer awareness....but I think by now, we're AWARE. colo-rectal cancer kills more people but you don't hear much about it....maybe the players should wear BROWN

There was a Tampa player on the sidelines filmed crying during the 3rd quarter. I stayed up after halftime just because there was a chance I was going to watch an NFL game end 70 - 3 but Atlanta showed mercy when the benched Matt Ryan with 8 minutes left ... in the 3rd quarter.
As someone who has Matty Ice in FF, fuck you, Mike Smith! Show no mercy!

The only thing worse is when they exploit military servicemen.
If you don't know, Peyton Manning has a ton of Papa John franchises in Denver. He made this recent comment:
"There’s some different laws out here in Colorado," Manning said, answering a question about his political awareness. "Pizza business is pretty good out here, believe it or not, due to some recent law changes."

Anyone have any suggestions on how to learn more about football? I feel like I just know the basics. I don't really learn a lot just by watching - except MNF - those guys are awesome. I have Football For Dummies and it's good. Any videos or films out there? I want to learn more specifics/details about each position and understand plays better. I want to know the difference between a Tampa offence and a West coast offense. How did you guys learn? By playing? Your dad's taught you? Did you read books? I don't feel like I know the half of it. Any recommendations?

Madden Football for the PlayStation or XBox. Sounds strange to admit but I learned a ton from that game. Specific plays, offensive packages, defensive sets, it is all there.

That's a ridiculously good question. I feel like I know a lot about football. I'm not saying I could be a wide receiver in Peyton Mannings offense, but I see what he's doing and understand the concepts.
As far as learning, I have no idea how I was taught. I've been watching football ever since I can remember and played from 7th grade through 12th. It's interesting to see how offenses and defenses have changed over the last 25 years. A lot of it has to do with the rules geared so much towards the offense.
To help answer your question, look up videos of Vince Lombardi. I can remember watching an old video of him (I think it's 30 minutes) explaining his famous green bay sweep and other plays. It is very informative.

Cool, thanks. That sounds good - I'll look for it. : )
I taped a show on the NFL Network called Playbook. I've never seen it. It has team supplied video footage used by coaches and supposed to be an in-depth look at plays. Looks good.
