Beautiful thing. Especially when you have the over.

Gates is having a throwback game...this is like 2007.
  • Just saw the Hannah storm and Chris carter videos. Strong stuff

Yeah Carter in particular. Supporters (or devil's advocates) for Peterson are arguing that he was raised that way and so that's why he beat the shit out of his child. Nice to see someone like Carter say that he was raised that way too....and it's no excuse.
i saw hannah storm's live...definitely impressive. she seemed to be in a pissed off move the whole show.
Yes, but what else is she going to say? Espn sucks but they aren't stupid. People are outraged so they will sell them what plays well.

Did not see that Bears comeback coming.

  • What a fucking train wreck of a Sunday for me and my rooting/betting interests. Holy shit.

The NFL seriously needs to do something about the penalties. I almost turned off the night game before halftime -- it was so lame to see laundry on the field every play. (Got even worse in the 2nd half as my favorite team barfed up the lead for the 2nd night in a row.)

I appreciated the ESPN 'all seriousness' round table. Interesting to hear what these people think when they are allowed to (occasionally) actually share what it is.

Chris Carter must have been abused as a kid -- I almost felt badly for him watching how upset he was.

AP is a piece of cowardly dogshit, worse than Ray Rice.
The love he receives is the love that is saved

How many kids does A.P. have? One website has him fathering 7 kids. Hey Antonio Cromartie ... there's a new playa in town.

Looking back on when Peterson's two year old kid was murdered by his mother's ex-boyfriend a day before a game ... and he was able to just blow it off and play the next day ... is he a sociopath? Or perhaps we are overthinking and it's just that he is dumb. I'm thinking he is just plain old stupid.

That was a great game. Sproles carried my fantasy team this week!

Sproles is a hell spawn sent to earth to torture Colts fans.

Getting old sucks. I dread prime time games. The first this I wanted to do when I woke up was to go back to sleep.
  • So now the Vikings are telling AP to stay away from the team?? It's funny what pressure from corporate sponsors will do....another absolute mess for the NFL.

Players are going to start falling like dominos from here on now. I give Dez Bryant an over / under of 2.5 years.

I also find it hypocritical for Anheuser-Busch to get on their high horse when they distribute a product that is linked with domesitic abuse a good percentage of the time.

At one time I might have agreed ... its seems over the last year or so he seems to be maturing and wanting to take a leadership role with the cowboys ... now if he can just control his sideline tantrums.

No, Arian Foster. Domestic violence typically has much bigger issues than alcohol.

I'm thinking the Vikings are going to be paying for AP (or the NFL if he takes a plea and gets suspended) to sit the entire year. And he has a cap hit of $15M for the next three years. That's a lot of money for a RB going into his thirties. If the Vikes cut him, I'm sure Jerry Jones would sign him in an instant.

I think the Vikes best option is to cut him, tank the season, and then use the #1 pick on someone with high morals like Jameis Winston.

If they really wanted to make a statement, the'd pull advertising with the NFL. Just coming out and saying " we don't like what's going on" doesn't do a damn thing.

No, Arian Foster. Domestic violence typically has much bigger issues than alcohol.
US Dept of Justice links 61% of domestic abusers with substance abuse problems. That is a pretty strong corolation.

While substance abuse does not cause domestic violence, there is a statistical correlation between the two issues. Studies of domestic violence frequently indicate high rates of alcohol and other drug use by perpetrators during abuse. Not only do batterers tend to abuse drugs and alcohol, but domestic violence also increases the probability that victims will use alcohol and drugs to cope with abuse. The issues of domestic violence and substance abuse can interact with and exacerbate each other and should be treated simultaneously.

Ruh roh. Possibly another one a 3. If these start coming out of the woodwork, Goodell may be done. Didn't think it was possible till now.
