  • Liked the Andre Reed/Jim Kelly stuff. Always liked watching that team, lots of great players even though they couldn't win the big one.

Holy crap. The Bengals extended Andy Dalton to a six year $115M deal!
  • I find that crazy for a dude who is 0-3 in the playoffs.
Shows much much everyone wants a competent QB.

the halftime feature on kelly tugged at the ol' heart strings. it was nice seeing him up and about at that camp of his though. I didn't realize he was in that condition yet. good to see.

The terms of Dalton's contract is that it is really a 2 year, $25M deal with club options to extend each year and it is tied heavily into performance incentives.

The $115M number requires the Bengals to win the next six super bowls, which would well be worth paying him $115M.

Good to see Hard Knocks back last night. Falcons don't really seem to have any compelling or great stories yet, but still love all of the behind the scenes stuff.

Nice reminder, forgot to DVR that shit. Look forward to watching on demand or on one of the countless replays soon!

Looks like the NFL never looked at the tape of Rice dragging his wife out of the elevator.

I think 2 is a good number...that's usually what I do. I do my main league with all of my friends that we've been doing since high school and then another league with some guys from work that I pay attention to but really don't care too much about. Anything more than 2 usually gets too complicated...

3 is what I do -- but 1 of the 3 is a salary cap and you only can make changes if someone is injured and out...it is the biggest money pool but the least amount of monitoring. Been doing for 15+ years (since we looked shit up in the USA today on Mondays and tabulated points ourselves in spreadsheets) with the same core group of buddies from college.
The other 2 are for grins comparatively and standard yahoo leagues.

I think 2-3 is good for me. I do know some guys that go batty and have 10.

I was just on the call with my contact at the 49ers about the work we are doing and told him how excited I was to see the new stadium tonight....and then he told me that the opener is next week and they are away @ Baltimore tonight. Embarrassed/disappointed at the same time! :))

of course and people knock him in philly too but in all honesty, can you name many more better back ups in the league? gotta be considered top 5. and you normally need your back up once or twice a year at most. i liked that pick up for the birds.
