To go along with the 4 sacks, they were getting pressure on Romo, how about Romo running around avoiding a sack and then getting a 12 yard completion to Witten. Everyone knows Mannings one of the best QB's of all time but would he be put up the numbers that he puts up behind the Cowboys O line, the O line is improved but its still very much average.
Yeah really, they were getting all kinds of pressure on Romo. He was always scrambling and having to make plays on the run. That pass to Witten was one of the best plays of the game. The Denver d was definitely playing better than the Dallas D, who ultimately gave up 51 points.

How is Carolina 1-3? Their defence has only given up 58 points this year, which is tied for best in the league with KC, and KC is 5-0. Actually that means Carolina has the best defence because they've only played 4 games and KC has played 5. I guess their 78 points on offence doesn't help. What's going on there? I thought they had Superman for their QB?
KC has played one more game and gave up the same amount of points, meaning they have a better D than the Panthers
I had it backwards. Sorry, it was late. Okay so the 2nd best defence! Now they just need some offence.

I went to the Colts / Seahawks game yesterday. I was reminded why I canceled my season tickets.
Outside of tailgating, a sofa and a flat screen TV remove any incentive of sitting in the nosebleeds.
I drive up to Seattle once a year for a game (this season's is this Sunday vs. the Titans.) Get to the stadium at 8:00 for a 1:00 game (to get free parking and that's what time the bars open). Really like the atmosphere, and Century Link is an awesome place to watch a game, but once per season is plenty for me. It's a pretty expensive day.
Even if I lived there, I wouldn't go to all of them.

if the falcons miss the playoffs, i gotta think mike smith is out of a job
He should be, that was some horrible coaching tonight at the end of both halves. Even had a bit of help from the refs tonight and still lost the 2nd in a row at home.

It's one of my favorite stadiums, probably right behind Lambeau Field. My biggest problem with all the new stadiums is that all the hardcore fans can't afford the seats close to the field. And the No Fun League is making the experiance worse and worse every day in their efforts to exploit as much money as possible. I think we are heading towards a NBA-like turning point in the near future.
At least the Hawks stadium's roof design still transmits the sound to the field. The Colts used to have a major advantage in the Hoosier Dome. Lucas Oil is much more quite and spending the money on a retractable roof was a huge waste of money.
Lambeau is great because it's much more like a college football stadium and you are much closer to the field.
That is why I hope they just keep renovating Ralph Wilson Stadium. Great sightlines and ordinary people are able to afford any seat. They say it may be the closest remaining NFL stadium to a 'college atmosphere'.
And how much time do you think Maurice Jones-Drew spends looking at his phone and waiting for his agent to break trade news?
Guessing more time then he spends running and lifting weights.
He is in a contract year too...if he could muster more than 2.8 yards per carry this season there might be more of a market for him.
I know his team is atrocious (Gabbert is not good enough to be on most teams' practice squad) but he needs to be able to pop outside and break off 10/15 years occasionally.
Maybe trade for Josh Gordon who is out there for a 2nd rounder
heard on pti that Atlanta could be shopping Gonzales to Kansas City.
it would be smart...they have till Oct 29th trade deadline, and if they dont win the next 2 games until that date....then do it, classy move and you get a draft pick

Now they're reporting AP's kid could be taken off life support. So sad.
