I'm not sure it would be smart for kc. would u give up a second or third rounder for a guy that's not going to play next year?

If you think he could learn the playbook and help, YES 100%.

They could afford too, they are full of pro bowl talent and the PR would be Legendary, Tony coming full circle would be crazy

lots of merch like 10c

  • Another Bucs player with this MRSA thing. What the hell is going on with this team?? Between this and all the Schiano/Freeman nonsense, it's a real clown act over there.

NFLPA says the game could be postponed depending on what's found through testing. WTF is wrong with this organization?

This is even sadder: his 2-year old son have died. Reading stories like this sickens me hugely. Rest in peace to the little boy.

unfuckingbelievable. what the fuck did that scum bag do?
they are still saying he's going to play on Sunday. I'm not going to judge him. Its probably therapy for him. I feel so bad for him and his family.

I don't want to judge him either, but it is puzzling that he would already be saying he's planning on playing in less than 48 hours. I mean, this just happened.

Everybody handles death differently, but all I know is that if this happened to my 2 year old I would be too distraught and probably very busy dealing with the police and the funeral home. I would have to take time off work.

There was a player last year or the year before who's brother (I think) died early Sun morning and he played. I remember thinking that was strange, but in this case we're talking about a 2 year old child. Even stranger, IMO. But doesn't mean he's not grieving in his own way. I just don't understand it, I guess.

I think he said that he was still going to play before his son died. Either way...what an awful story. Some real sick people out there.

Torrey Smith played a couple days after the death of his brother. Whatever he wants to do and no one should ask him any questions.

Does that fact that he didn't know this kid or even know that the kid was his until recently make it easier, harder or is it irrelevant?

What a horrible situation, but I don't see how it has anything to really do with AP. I can't make any judgements since I don't know the situation but it doesn't sound like the guy paid a dollar in child support over the past couple years, so save the sympathy for AP, if so. That belongs to the mother.

Why would anyone count Brady out when there's still time on the clock? You'd have to be an idiot to do that and clearly not a football fan.

Never count Brady out. Who'd thought Dallas and Philly would be tied for the NFC Least lead. I predict next week Philly and Dallas will tie :D.

That was a nice lecture from Costas last night. :fp:

I understand why some people are offended by the Redskins name. The thing I don't understand is why all of a sudden everyone is all up in arms over this. The team has been around for 80 years and in the last year or 2 this has been such a hot topic. Why now is this such a big deal??? To me, it just seems like another thing in our society that people are looking to be offended by.

We live in an overly-sensitive society these days. But didn't Costas say that most native Americans aren't offended by the name? Those are the only opinions that matter; or at least they're the most important. And if a team is wearing their colours with pride and honor, then that's hardly being a racist. I hope the name is around for another 80 years.

It's not all of the sudden. It's been going on as long as I can remember, it just flares up from time to time. Or with other teams/mascots like Cleveland's "Chief Wahoo" (which has encountered controversy since the 70's) the Illini mascot, etc. I remember talk of Washington changing their name back in the 80's, and there was a big deal in the 90's over Chief Wahoo, where there was some thing about if they didn't change the logo they wouldn't get tax dollars for a new stadium. They kept the logo and got the stadium though. The Illini thing just happened a few years ago, and I forget what it was all about, but it had something to do with the mascot wearing authentic Native American garb. So it's been going on, it just pops up from time to time whenever somebody says something and the debate starts back up.
