Is it ok for me to come in and say that I will be drinking an extra large beer tonight in honor of finishing my 2nd half marathon? Whew, so glad that is over! Now I'm ready to spend the rest of the evening chilling!
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

    I AM MINE

Well hell yes! You have my admiration for achieving that.

(my back - and front, so to speak - won't allow me to run. I've always envied the ability and drive)

    Le'chaim :P

Congratulations riotgrl! That is certainly an achievement worth celebrating with a beer or two!

Thank you kindly for allowing me to shine for just a moment. Now back to the usual fun and games called laundry and housekeeping. Also, a some levity to temper my bit of vanity yesterday

Kudos, riotgrl! How do you do it?!

I ran three miles once and nearly lost my cookies for the next hour. For me, a marathon may as well be 500 miles!

Poor Maynard! Tool had to postpone their show today in Adelaide
  • peacefrompaulpeacefrompaul Posts: 25,293
Well, I guess it would be yesterday in Australia.
  • redrockredrock Posts: 18,341
Hope it was nothing serious - just needing a bit of rest... Anybody remember him with 'proper' really long hair??

Never seen Tool live - would love to.

Oh man, I hope he's OK. The sites I checked out didn't mention the reason, but I loved the last part of this:

Tool kicked off their first Australian tour since headlining the Big Day Out in 2011 with a performance at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena last Saturday night. FL described the performance as “impeccable” – from the musicianship to the vocals and visuals: “The night was nothing if not consistent in its quality. Maynard exited as soon as the song concluded, but the rest of the band walked back and forth across the stage, acknowledging the crowd and enjoying the adoration. They showed gratitude in a manner Maynard is unwilling, or incapable, to indulge.

Yep... typical shit. Same thing with APC... Billy Howerdel gets on his knees and thanks everyone.

Maynard throws up a peace sign and leaves  :fp:
